Six Flags Great Adventure | Unknown | Unknown Kingda Ka replacement | 2026+

I will be a bit disappointed if it’s the XTREME Spinning Coaster, I’ll admit. I’m sure it’ll be fun, but it just seems a bit of a half-hearted replacement for the world’s tallest and (former) fastest roller coaster.

Just wanted to note that there was a site tour about a week ago with "Ryan" the park's PR manager in which this reddit thread talks about the details:

Main Notes:
About the layout:

  • Longer track length than Ka
  • Takes up more of Lantern’s plot than Ka’s
  • 50% of the footers are poured
  • When asked “how tall is it,” Ryan said “tall”
  • Ryan insists it is worth the wait
About the timeline:

  • Waiting to decide on the announcement until everything is locked down - they care a lot about the theme and all of the animatics being ready to go
  • Getting the story of the ride right is a HUGE priority for them
  • They are “not in a rush.”
  • Eyeballing a Spring 2026 announcement, most likely a 2027 opening but still in flux
  • An announcement date will be announced, they won’t shadow drop it
Other:

  • The pavement will not be visible - it is not a parking lot coaster
  • They have a 10 year plan, and the rest of Green Lantern’s plot is part of that plan

@CaliAngel Actual, direct "confirmation", no.

Has it been heavily rumored & hinted at by people with proven past 'insider' connections, yes.
Is the arrangement of footers nearly* identical to that exact layout, yes.
Has the park received shipments of supports from Mack Rides, yes.

So no. It's not "confirmed" to be that. But all signs, physical and word-of-mouth, say it's gonna be that. And it will be a wild ass ride, no doubt.

*(I say "nearly" because I didn't account for or anticipate the ride curving slightly right going into the stall, couldn't have known that at the time)
