Theme Park Ashes: (EN) Hyperia vs (AU) DC Rivals Hypercoaster

Look there's nothing like a good sporting rivalry between England and their loose Antipodean mate.



Two hypers, opposite sides of the world, both a bit more interesting than your average row of parabolas, both arguably designed with "old school thoosie input"
They are different enough you could have them side by side.

Which takes the cake?

Hyperia probably has the better individual elements, but DC Rivals makes a lot more of it's height. I always get off Hyperia wishing it had done more with the height, but I wonder if I'd think DC Rivals could have been more daring.

Then again, they're the better part of a decade apart, and a lot has changed in coaster design since then. I do wonder what DC Rivals would look like if commissioned today.

I'll give it to Hyperia this time... hopefully can get my butt on DC Rivals at some point and make a fairer comparison.

I feel like there aren't going to be that many voters who have ridden both (he said, a little snobbishly) but I was disappointed with DC Rivals to the extent that I've given this one to Hyperia.
