Theme park nightmares

So I had a pretty intense dream last night about Thorpe parks Stealth. I was just waiting around the Stealth ride area, then it rolled back into the station, all the restraints opened then it set off again with the restraints all up. got the the top-hat section then derailed at the top. Loads of screams and complete silence.

I know this is not going to happen in real life but it was still a very realistic dream and I actually woke up sweating. So has anyone else ever had bad dreams around theme parks?

I've a similar dream to yours, I was sat on Stealth and it rolled back but the brake fins didn't come up and we slammed straight into the other train.

My nightmare is that I get to the park and that park's respective best ride (or at least my personal favorite) is not open, and is soon to be torn down.

I had a nightmare we went to Alton Towers on the first Saturday of a school holiday and there were 23,000 people on park...

I had a dream that I was at Kings Dominion once and for some reason Dominator was a B&M flyer with the same colors and the park had all RCT2 scenery (I distinctly remember a perfect square building with stucco walls and beige trim with round windows) and on the lift, Dominator's flyer restraints just shattered into a million pieces and everybody fell out. It was really scary and I started freaking out in the dream and then woke up in a cold sweat.

Now I realize I might have spent too much time in a queue line at Dollywood with the GP! :p

I remember when I was little (many, many years before I became a goon) I had this dream where I went on my first drop tower (back then I was terrified of them). I was shot up the tower, and at the very top, my OSTR failed and I sky rocketed in the air...and eventually falling down to the ground and going SPLAT. And the weird thing was, in the dream I was watching myself get ejected and die when I impacted the ground. Pretty terrifying.

And while these aren't really nightmares, I occasionally have these where I'm going up the lift hill of some awesome coaster, and right before the first drop, the dream ends or I wake up. These can be really annoying sometimes!

I have a recurring dream where I go to a random park (Hersheypark, Knoebels, etc) and wait in line for hours to ride a ride I really want to ride (Skyrush, Phoenix, etc). I meet all my friends and weird stuff happens, like all my dreams, in line. I finally get to the station and get ready to ride. Once my restraint goes down and it takes off, my alarm goes off, and I wake up. I always wish I could go back to sleep to continue the dream.

I remember a dream from when I was about probably 7 or 8, and there was a rubber dinghy slide on the clouds, but at the bottom of the drop was a ramp that shot you off the end. If you landed on the next cloud, then you survived, but if you came up short then you fell to your doom. I woke up before I could have a go!

I also had a dream when I was a teenager that's pretty similar to Dan's. I was on Rita, about to launch, when my restraint opened and I fell out, only to grab onto the bars and fly along behind it holding on for my life.

I consistently have dreams like this. I'm really excited about riding something, then just as I'm about to ride it I'm somehow prevented from doing so either by waking up or the ride just breaks down or something. It's really annoying and nearly always happens with rides I haven't yet been on.

As a child I had a recurring nightmare of being on a ride (sometimes coaster, sometimes dark ride) all strapped in nice and tight but as the train is pulling back into the station I'd realise the building was on fire. The train then slowly rolled in to its doom with us still all locked in our seats and the station evacuated of anyone to come and release us.

I think this was influenced by Chessingtons Vampire, where the holding area is indoors but the hanging cars meant there would be no way of getting out (it is something that still flashes through my mind now when I ride) and Thorpes Wicked Witches Haunt where there were restraints and the cars spun in towards the scenes bellow so there appeared to be no way out (Haunt did go on to burn down, luckily without me in it).

Wouldn't call it a nightmare but had a dream about Banshee last night. I am assuming because I will be riding on Tuesday.

The lift started out like a standard life then transitioned into a vertical spike, almost like Deja Vu. After about half of the lift or so it switched from a chain to tire motors propelling up the lift.

I had a dream I was riding a Soquet once. ;)

Realistically? I've only had dreams about stuff like pulling restraints down in random places, no nightmares.

Not so much a nightmare but last night i had a dream that the Pepsi Max had a bock section at the top of the first drop just before the downward turn. There was a train waiting just before the crest and then this one almost hanging over the edge, with a third that didn't make it round the turnaround and was rolling back towards the first hill.

I do regularly have dreams about parks though. The parks are strange and have some of these weird flat rides in them, the coasters are all different, but with the same names. I find myself being able to get out of the restraints with no problem and walking along the track but they always end with me jumping off the side or in some sort of accident while the train is going round its cycle.

If i could nail Lucid dreaming i think i could create a masterpiece in my mind, with the ability to do what i wanted when i wanted, potentially riding coaster in the US without actually visiting them.

Has anyone ever successfully done any lucid dreaming I'd be keen to learn some more
