1993
This is the first actual update, and if you read the title, this will be in a year-by-year format. This is so I can account for all changes that would happen to the park in the season, not just new ride additions. Well I've been stalling for long enough, let's begin.
Paramount Communications has just bought six major amusement parks across the globe, one of them being Australia's Wonderland in Eastern Creek, New South Wales, Australia. The new owners have since renamed the park to Paramount Australia's Wonderland. The park did not get any new additions for the 1993 season, but other changes have occurred in almost every area of the park.
International Village
This area, most commonly referred to by it's original name of "Medieval Faire", added a couple of new shops including "Thrills Are Paramount", which would feature merchandise of various Paramount movies and tv shows, along with park specific merchandise. There would also be "Kids Stuff", which would sell Hanna-Barbera merchandise and random toys (probably based on Paramount properties), and the "Busytown Store", which would feature merchandise based off of the book series (this was before Paramount had access to Nickelodeon, so this was the best they had). Other additions include the Paramount Gardens, which basically was a walkthrough garden featuring replica props from various movies, and new meet-and-greet characters, mostly from Star Trek.
The Australian Wildlife Park
The 1993 season would be the last for the area, as it would close after the summer months to be replaced by new additions. All of it was leveled by the end of the offseason.
Hanna-Barbera Land
Not much would change here, aside from the Character House gift shop being rethemed to the Hanna-Barbera Store (obviously selling everything Hanna-Barbera related), and the Flintstones themed snack stand being rethemed to the Busytown Grill. The Hanna-Barbera Theater would feature "The Flintstones Go Hollyrock" as it's main performance, and the Gum Tree puppet theater would be used as a meet-and-greet location. Minor enhancements include all of the food locations featuring kid's menus, the park's logo on the Beastie coaster was changed out for the new Paramount logo, and Busytown characters making appearances.
Transylvania
Ah yes, the most unique area of the park would renovate the old theater in the back of the area into the nice and sleek Paramount Theater, which would feature "Paramount On Ice", basically being an ice show set to movie soundtracks. The park's logo on the Demon was also changed out for the Paramount one.
Goldrush
This western/Australian themed section would receive the Wings restaurant in place of Stockman's BBQ, in which this is surprisingly the first movie themed thing in the park that wasn't just a meet-and-greet. The Gold Nugget Theater would play "Rock The House", and the Sundance Theater would be home to concerts. The only minor change is the change of the park's logo to the Paramount one on The Busch Beast.
The Beach
There are no changes here.
Park-Wide Changes
Alright, so I originally forgot to add this, but all employee nametags were replaced with Paramount ones, employee outfits were changed, and a new music loop would play throughout the park, including movie themes and the same stock music used for those weird Chuck E. Cheese training videos from the same time period (these were the days before theme parks got full orchestras for ride themes. Oh, and yes, at a point the Paramount Parks played that music because I heard it in a couple of old home video tapes at the Paramount Parks).
Well, that was longer than expected, but just expect a larger addition for 1994.
