Re: Cedar Point - 2011 - Ongoing Gallery (IOA, HP and GL add
Great eye Snoo. Some of those pics I wouldnt think would look so great but the choices I saw, some of them, surprised me.
Re: Cedar Point - 2011 - Ongoing Gallery
ADDED BUNCH OF NEW PHOTOS! These are OLD photos, but worthy of being in the Gallery. Parks included:
Hershey Park, Islands of Adventure and Geauga Lake. Again, only select photos so some rides missing, some only a few photos, etc. Just how I do it. I...
Yea, in order for the return to have airtime, you need the speed on the first half that is now lost with terrible tracking.
This is a ride that just needs a GCI retracking or the Iron Horse treatment. Youd be more limited but dang, you could basically create an even better El Toro with what...
If it ever got a retrack, it would run back to optimal performance with awesome floater and great speed over every hill. But the jackhammering and shotty maintenance has ruined that dream. I got to ride it when it was just a few years old, was developing some of that roughness but OMG the drop...
Re: Cedar Point - 2011 - Ongoing Gallery
I already took one, that's what I meant to say. And really I only took a Black and White Film course but it did help me to understand Photoshop (as odd as that sounds...but I've been in PS since PS4) a lot more working in a dark room. I work mostly out...

Go here to my pics:

Find one or as many as you like, Ill be more than happy to use the original file (which is over 3000 on its long side typically unless cropped a lot).
Id say...
Re: Cedar Point - 2011 - Ongoing Gallery
I dont mind. If you need a larger res, I can provide that. Standard is something over 3000x whatever.
Thanks! I got a new lens this year and it really is quite spectacular. I think my end goal is possibly to get parks to use my pictures for promos...
Ive uploaded these pictures to my Picasa account simply because theres so many now. I started showing these over at TPR and Coastercrazy by uploading the pics into the thread itself but seeing as though theres well over 100 pictures now, that would require me sitting here for quite some time...
The actual airtime I prefer floater but getting to the floater I like to be "ejected". Most CCI/TGG's do this IMO. Theres a quick snap which is mostly just the lack of a long lead in but then the radius is designed only for maybe -0.2 or so. So you get this quick, violent jerk up, then held...
Re: "Unknown", B&M Invert for Parc Asterix
Oh my...that on-ride that was made...I don't even want to go into all the massive errors. I'm not even sure there's not a MCB on this ride unless we know it only has 2 trains. They make it seem like it just comes out of an S turn and pauses a moment...
Re: "Unknown" - Canada's Wonderland 2012 Attraction
Are we really calling something with 10 inversions boring? What in the world have we gotten to... I Think the ride looks quite fun. Its a roller coaster with some airtime, lots of twists, turns and I love hang time and there's plenty of that.
My annual trip to Cedar Point this year for opening day was pretty abysmal. Terrible operations, rides not opening at all on time and in general, overall feeling of being unprepared. Ive been to at least a decades worth of openings for CP, by far the worst experience.
Only thing that made up...
Re: GCI Wooden Coaster - Europa Park 2012
AGREED. Im sure the people who would be offended for being told to hurry up would be the same ones who also complained earlier about a slow line.
Interesting topic here, had no clue this wasn't open yet. Someone needs to fly over and just pull this ride, plus the mountain its on, back here to the US somewhere where it can be utilized.
You said she didnt like DB...What was the reason for that?
My wife was "eh" when we first rode, mostly because the middle of the train is so meh. But once we rode in the front THEN the back, all our opinions changed. Back is absolutely where its at on that ride. Love it. Need to get down there...
I really REALLY love the white-ish steel supports, the awesome southern yellow pine and then the red rails. Its a stunning contrast and looks so awesome. So glad it rides just as awesome as well.
I love seeing a dead cedar point. These days do exist and I love when I stumble upon these days.
But thats why I always carry my camera equipment. If its packed, it turns into a photo shoot day. Nice TR.
