Re: Holiday World | Unknown | Unknown
I'm hoping it to be a blitz style if it turns out to be a B&M. But have we considered a vertical lift from B&M? What type of footers would need to be used if it were going to be Vertical Lift?
Re: Holiday World | Unknown | Unknown
Leah just posted a new HoliBlog post talking about past plans for a steel coaster and basically confirmed it being steel now (although we already knew that basically). She also said that it is the first of its kind and is unique.
Re: Hot feet and water rides/detective work: Holiday World T
What Intricks said, it keeps it speed pretty fast the whole ride. The turns just shove you into the sides of your seat the entire second half completely ruining a great first half. That being said it was running better than it has in...
This past Sunday, my brothers and I made our annual trip down to Santa Claus for a day of bonding. We arrived at the park at roughly 10:20 after a late start and longer drive than we had anticipated but the park was dead and we hardly had a wait all day. First off, we went ahead and hit the...
Re: Holiday World | Unknown | Unknown
Was just at the park today. There are an insane amount of footer poured already, many of which are by Hyena Falls and they were starting to be filled behind the Voyage. Also there is a building being built that looks to be way too small to be an event...
Re: Bye-Bye Giraffica aka Pilgrims Plunge
The park has reported via HoliBlog that this is just one big thing. Not an expansion, not a new area, one big thing. Figured I'd put that out here since that is the greatest debate so far with this mystery.
EDIT:
The park also said in the HoliBlog...
Re: Bye-Bye Giraffica aka Pilgrims Plunge
Thanks for the backup Intricks :) and the footers also seem to be really close together in one area: too close together for a break run/lift hill so that seems to scream launch section.
Re: Bye-Bye Giraffica aka Pilgrims Plunge
Today's clue hinted at what seemed to be about a higher height requirement so this very easily could be the B&M launcher as most B&M's have a higher height requirement.
Re: Bye-Bye Giraffica aka Pilgrims Plunge
Intricks can you tell what kind of coaster matches the design of track?
Edit: The track was confirmed as part of a flying coaster which unless Carowinds is getting a flyer this could be our coaster at holiday world!
Re: Bye-Bye Giraffica aka Pilgrims Plunge
Worlds Tallest Dive Machine anyone? :)
In reality a Mack launcher, Intamin Skyrush-esqe coaster, and the drive machine all sound plausible. I personally have no problem with any of them because I want to ride Skyrush and a Mack launcher and I love the...
Re: SFMM Colossus to Close: Reign of the Wooden King Ends
I can tell you that there's no way holiday world is Iron Horsing a coaster yet.
But in reality, if this thing is going to incredibly fast on the turns, they have to face the truth in that humans are stupid and will get the idea to...
The strata coasters in the front are really an insane experience. TTD's front row adds so much more tension from the time you are sitting in the station about to launch which I love. The whole experience is just terrifying and a whole lot more fun in the front. The Voyage and Maverick though...
Re: Name a Park, What You Think it Needs to Do, and How To D
I'll go with Holiday World
All in all with the new expansion being close to being released, I'll let this be my last chance to let my imagination go wild for my home park. :D First of all, I would add along the lines of a B&M Giga...
