I believe you're right with that. The yellow track pics showed up before Chang came down. And the time between the ride coming down and showing up at Great America was pretty quick-- a bit too fast to get to the factory. I think that track has a better chance as showing up in China or something.
I wasn't referring to the corkscrews as a major world's first, but having them back to back is a world's first regardless. But yeah, I talking about the loop. It's listed as such on rcdb, which is why I was wondering if it's a mistake or not. I just want to see a layout.
RCDB has a page for this now:
First, there's a Maurer X-Car. Just a standard sky loop, but this is the first in China anyways.
There's a coaster listed with 2 lifts, which I can only assume to be the standard mine train thing we've been seeing at Happy Valley and the like.
The really...
I'm not sure how many people noticed this on rcdb, but there's a new park listed for China that has some interesting coaster choices.

I haven't read through the topic, so I don't know if it needs to be locked or not. But if you're going to post, post something worthwhile.
There is no smaller support. That's all supporting the track in front. Either way, they mentioned in the blog that it is temporary. So once the structure is complete, that support will go.
My roommates and I have been playing one of the underrated old games. James Bond: Agent Under Fire on the PS2. On its own, the game isn't great, but when you combine the jetpack, low gravity, no fall damage, and the grapple, you have amazement. It ended up with the two of us flying around the...
Not too much change up top.
1. Millennium Force
2. Voyage
3. Thunderhead
4. Top Thrill Dragster
5. Montu
6. Storm Runner
7. Manta
8. Griffon
9. Sheikra
10. Behemoth
Manta's the only 2009 debut, coming in at 7th and knocking SFOG's MindBender from the top 10.
The next new...
Ignoring the small things like everybody else, here's the most notable 'big' 5 for me:
5. Son Of Beast: Kings Island.
Really a big pile of awful. I never did get to ride it without the loop, but when it still had that, the loop was smoothest part of the ride since it was steel. A coaster...
They moved the crane and in the last 30 minutes put up another piece of the airtime hill. Not long before it heads up into the midcourse. Or, well.. 3/4course.
I just finished Resident Evil 4 tonight. That was a ton of fun. It's been a long time since I've played through a video game (Mirror's Edge was the last and before that Red Steel), but this was pretty satisfying. I managed it in like 22 hours or something or another... a pretty good length...
Oh those are cool.
The one at Darien had a good launch, but it was smooth as glass. I feel like if they made it faster on the actual layout portion, it would be a lot of fun. I had a great time on OCC.
I hope they're going for some custom layout or at least launching the stock model like...
I'm really excited about Assassins Creed II. I know Florence and Venice really well from architecture classes and it seems like they've done a great job recreating things to a decently realistic extent. The first game was great, so I'm hoping the 2nd will be even better.
Right now I'm...
Thanks for the thoughts! As always, I'll be glad to send some pictures on AIM and MSN. No big screens in my advertisement topics, although when it's released there will be a giant overview where you'll be able to see everything.
Anyway, I've reached a year 500 milestone... so here's some...
As promised in the blog, they moved the webcam today.

Now it's up on top of Drop Zone. It's a really nice angle now and gives a great look as to just how steep that lift and drop is. It's all very impressive looking. Lots of those...
They were running one train when I was there a few weeks ago. But then again it wasn't terribly busy. That said, it's interesting to see them reducing the number of trains from 3 to 2. I can't recall them ever running 3 on a regular basis, so I guess it wasn't a big deal. I wonder where the...
It's not so much strategic planning as it is that's the space along the perimeter they had available. Most any coaster requires the removal of trees. These days that's more of a given then an option. As stuff gets bigger there's got to be more room to get the crane and everything in there...
Although they haven't posted an update on the main site recently, you can see from the webcam that they've put up a bunch of smaller supports all around the site. When they finally get to laying track there, it should fly up faster then the Carowinds one. It was hard to tell, but I think they...
