From what I understand, the landscaping is still far from being completed, this likely includes the tunnel. There are also 3 electrical cables which end right by the tunnel, not leading to anything yet. I'm not trying to say that the tunnel is going to be astounding, but I think people should...
The two airtime hills will provide air, but beyond that I should throw in the first drop, and maybe a slight pop going into the brakes. I would also like to add that the speed fill does have some air...
If I am not mistaken, the "bunny hop" on Millennium Force (comparable to Leviathan's high...
Just a couple of things to mention here...
• the magnetic trims will function the same as the friction trims, in terms of being able to turn them on/off based on the trains speed.
• the first test run (the one filmed by POV) was done without trims turned on
• later test runs were performed with...
It was always intended for CW, it says so in this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQxNZj0r ... r_embedded
As for the brake run, it really is the same as every other B&M Hyper, it just does not have a MCBR, so it has an extra long brake run to allow for 3 train operation.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
Exactly my point. Since B&M does not have an official name for it yet, would it not make more sense to label it as a giga opposed to a hyper, since it fits the enthusiasts definition of a giga.
Yes, and no. They both use box spine track...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
Seems like you missed some, let me help with that.
So, following the website, which category would you put the wing rider in? Just because B&M rarely updates their website does not mean that they do not have a new ride type a.k.a...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
The facts were a bit off, but I would not exactly go as far to say GP. He is actually one of the administrators of CWMania.
What sound effect are you referring to? They used some of the animated videos the park earlier released and...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
Just thought I would pass this along. Daily Planet did a segment on Leviathan which aired earlier tonight. If you wish to watch it, it has been uploaded online.

Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
^The lines likely won't be as ridiculous once the season is further in and the hype dies down, but Canada's Wonderland gets pretty busy in the summer months and the lines for both Leviathan and Behemoth will likely be a fair wait.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
^I305 is only running two trains though, while Leviathan is running three trains. The extra long brake run is necessary to run the three trains without a MCBR.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
The Leviathan website says the ride time is 3 minutes and 28 seconds. However, the POV video, without the lift hill/brake run time is about 1:12, so I imagine the 3:28 figure includes the wait on the rake run and the lift.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
The park is open today for regular operations still, then it opens tonight and tomorrow night for Halloween Haunt.
The park confirmed that nothing will be leaving the park for 2012. As for the entrance, they have removed a few...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
The supports are indeed a darker colour than the track is. Here is a good example.
I think the colours will be fine. I'll admit that they don't look all that nice on a cloudy day, but when the sun is out, they look quite good. The...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
^That's what it looks to be to me. The section of track which they mentioned is 120' long only has one support along the stretch. My guess is thats what they are refering to when they said the piece is 120'.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
They said the current height is around 168' and the longest piece is 120'. However, you can see that in this photo, that 120' section is actually made of two separate track pieces bolted together on the ground, then hoisted up.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
Just a bit of a correction. The transfer and storage track was actually installed last week, the update just showed outdated photos. A few up to date pictures were posted on CWMania last night.
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
That's the great thing about Behemoth. It's not forceless. Unlike nearly all B&M mega coasters, Behemoth actually has good air, including ejector. Not only does it have amazing airtime, there have been times I have started to grey out on...
Re: Leviathan - B&M giga coaster for Canada's Wonderland
It seems you must have just completely ignored my earlier post then?
And who are you to tell us that our opinions are wrong? Quite simply, no one here is wrong, since we are all arguing our opinion.
If it's not as steep, does that not...
