I went on it twice earlier this week and can echo some of what @CanobieFan said. An advertised 3 hour queue took just over 1, the drop track is a bit lame but ties into the story well. Also the Hagrid animatronic looks great but doesn’t seem to move too much, I’m not sure wether it’s synced up...
I think the ride is only built on the concrete raft and the mound of mud is just what’s been dug out to cast it, they may take it away later or could just leave it there.

The only thing they’ve mentioned is the track I think but the rumoured cost is 10 million euros for fixing it, sounds like bs to me.They’re obviously just going to tear it down or they’d have started fixing it already.
I just can't get my head around the first drop, going off of the existing lift hill and drop it just doesn't seem to line up with the track going into the first airtime hill.
I think it'll be around 250ft tall, the drop will be a lot steeper than before so that will give them another 20-30ft in length plus they've raised it up 20ft from where it originally was.
