Site plans for an unrelated shed reveal some possible details about the ride. Maybe these are just placeholders but I'd assume they're keeping the site plans accurate.

is it 2 separate rides? what does the parallel dotted line notation mean? tunnels? paths? This thing opens in a month and the only coverage it has had is a stock photo of a log flume in a random brochure for primary school tours.
 
It's one ride, the reason there's two separate troughs is that they're using the best water efficiency possible by only having water as part of the ride that's low to the ground. So if you follow the footers, that's for the entire ride and you can make out the layout pretty easily - the footers are for parts of the ride that are above the ground/on supports.
 
The fact they're working on the theming etc. 'in house' makes it 'one of a kind'. It's merely marketing talk for something unique. That could be storyline, theming or the fact that it's a unique layout. Don't read into it too much.

Fab! These appear to be a cross between a chute and a flume.

They have a pyramid themed one at belantis i believe.

Im quite excited by this i must admit, nice to see something a little different if a little odd.
 
pre-season articles say that €9m was invested this year with the main things being the water ride and a falconry thing, and there's €17.5m planned investment for next year. Wonder what's planned.
 
Went down to Tayto Park for the opening day. The flume looks amazing I'm impressed at the amount of theming around it. I really didn't expect that much.
The actual ride trough and systems are finished it is just the theming that needs completed and then the ride tests.
Viking Voyage opens in June.

The Viking Village area looks great. A lot of thatched roof buildings and detail.

They have planted a lot of trees and placed real rocks around the area. View of the final drop out of the mountain.

Based on what I saw today i can confirm this is the exact layout of the flume.
 
That is looking to be a really nice Log Flume! Kinda getting a bit of a Valhalla vibe from it, which is a good sign.
 
Goodness me, that's far more substantial than I was expecting! Good work Tayto Park!
 
Aww that's great, well done Tayto. Really nice to see some theming going in.
This is everything Skull Rock at Oakwood could have been.
