Attractiepark Slagharen - iSpeed Clone For 2013

I agree that it's unlikely they'll build an iSpeed clone. But if they're really removing four decent looking family rides, why would they replace them with five family rides? Dream Catcher and Rodeo Rider look good enough to be kept, can't see a reason for them to be taken out unless they're planning something bigger...

Hopefully this removing of rides is for a new coaster, I could see them getting something like a Gerstlauer spinner, it would be pretty unique in the are.

But the area for the Ispeed clone is located between both the current parks, where there are now a lot of houses where people live. Therefore we can feel confident that this ride will not be built in the near future.

I dont know whether this helps this rumour or not, but their park webite has info on 4 rides that are being removed after this year:

But on the other hand, apparently, the park have confirmed that they're adding 5 new rides next year... an iSpeed clone and 4 other rides seems a bit too much for such a small park IMO...

Strange - can't see that anywhere on their site!

This little snippet kind of confirms that these rumours are false:

New attractions Slagharen will go on

Despite the financial problems at owner Parques Reunidos gets Amusement Slagharen next year just new attractions. This week it was announced that Movie Park Germany, also part of Parques Reunidos, can whistle to a new rollercoaster due to lack of funds in the Spanish park group. Slagharen is not so busy, says director Angelique Klar to Looopings.

"At the moment we are particularly busy preparing our fiftieth anniversary in 2013. We get at least four new attractions. Maybe there is a fifth to come, that depends on the total budget. We also want to have something left over for the thematization . "

As is known, there are four old rides demolished. The plan is that in the eastern part of the park to create a new theme area for children between 4 and 13 years. Therefore move the thrill ride Flying Cloud probably to the other side of the park. There is at least no new roller coaster at. The director wanted already lost one of the novelties a water attraction is "not yet in the Benelux state.

I should change the topic title, but it's just too funny to bother.

Oh...um is that it?

The new additions look good, but I think they could have celebrated their 50th year or whatever in a better way. It looks like they have just replaced some old rides with some new ones that fit the same space. Nothing overly special.
