Biggest Failure

but it was a huge investment which has been a rarity Nickelodeon Land aside.

Was it really a huge investment though?

All they did was paint it, spite the log flume and relocate traumatizer. Must have cost £1million max??

Apparently, allegedly and rumouredly, they still owed Vekoma a huge chunk for the ride which they paid on finance of some kind - so they included what they still owed on the ride in that figure... Allegedly ;)

In Blackpool terms it was, if you compare it to other additions in recent times. Don't forget it had a huge marketing campaign to go with it in it's first year that would have been pricey.

Have Blackpool not heard of payday loans?

Flying Turns.

All that needs to be said.

Winner.

Ring Racer has to be a close second. It was ALL about the speed record which it, well never had, so they might as well just give up.

Closed before the end of the season due to breaking itself mayhaps?

Kingda Ka was closed for an entire season for being broken, does that make it a failure? No, it just makes it an Intamin

Also: Flaying Turns is in no way a failure, it's just taking a long time because it's the first of it's kind sincde the 30s. There is no one to go to and say "hey how did you do that." It has been in the workds for this long because they have to get the trains properly balanced. But you really cant say it's a failure.

Was it in its opening year though? Even I305, which has gone through a retracking, even tossed on trims. The ride broke its own trains (supposedly). That is a mass failure beyond a wire screwing up and causing it to close for a season. If it has been open for a prior season, and broke this year, then no it wouldnt be a failure, it would be an Intamin; however, just opened and it broke its own train. That is a failure imo.

^ I don't think a failed brake run merits biggest failure for Bizarro - which happened in its first year of operation. The lap bar death incident occurred three years later, but was due to operator error.
Wrong.... and wrong.

The crash happened in 2001 (opened in 2000), the same week Yankee Cannonball crashed (woo, New England!) And the SROS death happened in 2004 (not 03). So, yeah. (Ugh, I was there...)
