Bit of a random question!

Hey all,

Bit of a random question, I just wish to know.

What sort of times will the theme park actually start to 'kick' people out.

When I was at Alton, I wandered around the park til about 8, at a 6 o clock queue closing, and all of the queues where empty.

So yeah, what time do they actually tell people to leave?

Well everything depends on the park.. how busy the park is that day.. how the weather is shaping up.. but most parks have a set closing time that I've been to.. and the ones without it all depend on the crowds but never go past 10-11pm.
 
Usually when the park closes, or if the park states closure based on queue's closing, usually up to an hour after stated queue closing time.

Having said that, I've been in Thorpe for 2 and a half hours after "closing" with security wondering around and nobody else in the park without problems...

I know Busch Gardens Williamsburg will pester you if you're headed the opposite direction of the exit about 15 minutes after closing. I had stuff in the lockers by Alpengeist and we got through Apollo's line about 30 minutes after closing and a security guard stopped us on our way back to the locker and asked 50 questions then escorted us back to our locker and out of the park.
 
Six Flags New England's security said that even though they close at 10, they start rolling closings. so the rides shut down after the closed queues empty. I got an 11:45 ride on Bizarro and was in the park to about 12:30 and there were still people in line for Bizarro (the queue was completely full and out of the queuing area)

so pretty much once people get off the ride they urge you to the exit, but i mean we were wandering around inside the parks to the lockers and stuff way past closing. so they really dont "kick" you out unless your like the last person there just kinda messing around.
 
I worked park security my 3rd year at the park, and we'd all start at the back of the park, split up and verify that all ride queues and exit paths were clear, check all stores, restaurants and bathrooms had no guests in them, and work our way around to the entrance.

If we encountered guests, they could finish whatever they were doing, but not enter the 'cleared' section of the park unless escorted by a member of park security. We didn't actively tell people to hurry up, but then most folks got the clue that it was time to leave when a bunch of us would be standing right behind them.
