Busch Gardens Williamsburg Project 2021 - 355ft Height Waiver Filed

Sorry to bump the thread, but we now have an update; BGWFans (usually an extremely reliable source) has gotten hold of some internal SEAS documentation and thinks that this has been shelved indefinitely, as there was no mention of it opening in 2023 in this document: https://bgwfans.com/2021/drachen-spires-slumber/

They do think that it, or a similar 300ft+ coaster, opening in 2024 or 2025 is plausible, as Busch is said to be very keen to hold the local height and speed records, but Drachen Spire looks to have been indefinitely shelved, at least for the time being.

Oooooooo is it project back from the dead?

BGWfans report that Busch Gardens Williamsburg filed for an extension of the project’s height waiver.

Maybe they are just keeping their options open for something completely different than the original coaster idea, if they do go for a giga coaster I hope they go for a non-shuttle giga.

Not sure if this should have its own thread or not, but a 220 foot height waiver was filed for Festhaus Park. Points to the construction timeline for a new structure being between spring 2023 and February 2024.
