California's Great America Announces Plans for Future

I really doubt they would to be completely honest, a hyper so soon after such a big investment would be a pretty bad business investment imo. The fact that it's the exact height of a Star Flyer gives it away for me. Plus adding a hyper and then a star flyer would make much less of an impact than making people wait for the hyper.

I don't doubt it. Great America spent nearly a decade removing coasters rather than adding them. I can see cedar fair taking a rather aggressive approach to drawing in new visitors. Plus, I doubt Railblazer and all of it's 90 feet/1,500 ft of track was THAT big of an investment.

While I still think it's far more likely to be a Star Flyer, this is a very good point. As a small, prototype coaster Railblazer couldn't have been too expensive.

Railblazer is far from an expensive addition, probably in the single digit millions. That said, it wouldn't be surprising at all if it was a hyper, as the old Paramount parks have each had their turn with big investments relatively close.

Still won't go back to that **** hole without bitching about it.

I hope I'm wrong, another hyper in the world is never a bad thing and the sooner it comes the better. Either way, CGA getting decent investment (compared to past years) shows that perhaps CF are trying to finally stop giving all the love to Cedar Point.

The park honestly needs both rides. The only question is how long will we have to wait for the better one?
