More interested in what the layout will be like when more information is released. According to Lance the front entrance could be in for an overhaul along with gatekeeper or whatever the hell this will be called. Didn't really care for the front of the park, but as long as they still play Linus & Lucy I won't mind

I'm just getting anxious for the layout like bmac said...mostly to see if they will do anything creative with the drop. A steep drop on a wingrider would have to be incredible

Cedar Point have built up the hype some more folks!
We can't keep it locked away much longer. Join us, outside the Main Gate where all we've kept hidden will by SET FREE at 3:30 PM, August 13th
This is on two banners. One near Kiddy Kingdom and the other near DT.
So this will either be the annual cookie chest thing, quite possibly a reveal, or BOTH!
Cedar Point have built up the hype some more folks!

It should be the coaster as the news station up there had confirmed it. Let me look for the link...
Edit: Dumbass me mixed up the wording, all that is shown is a countdown image that is this, but animated:
I don't believe they've ever teased a countdown with a point blank reference to a new ride for the Snoopy Cookie Chest ordeal, but the back of my mind brought up the whole "FALSE CLUES" bit.
It is making me very skeptic now, considering all I saw on their facebook (mobile) was a link for Cedar Point|2013 and a post of "They will be set free" with it.
If this is the whole Banshee name, they could be referencing lost souls or something for "they". As for the whole Lotan bandwagon that everyone is commenting on, god only knows. Wasnt Lotan started because of Leviathan and the thought that The Point would name theirs after a dragon as well?

Cedar Fair is known for being impulsive with their decisions though, and there's not that much background leading into their announcements. So pretty much every rumor about this ride is just that, a rumor. We won't know anything about this until August 13th, just like every other community that says they have connections with what's going on no matter how badly they jerk off about their sources.

Here are some photos I grabbed of the banners in the park.
If you compare the teaser image to other Cedar Fair logos, it still does appear as a minimalist rendering of fins found on other logos.
My money is still on a "Lake Monster" name and theme, especially with the notion of being "locked away" and "set free." If you look at the history of Cedar Fair B&Ms; Leviathan, Behemoth, and Hydra were all mythological monsters of both greek and biblical reference. Heck, even Kraken and Medusa, other familiar B&Ms, can also be added to that list.
So running with this theory that I just cooked up, I will hereby predict the coasters name to be Lyngbakr! :razz:

Screamscape has thrown out the name Typhon (also known as Typhos), a famous offspring of Gaia sent to kill Zeus who had trapped all of the Titans. Typhon ends up trapped underneath a mountain himself, which lends to being "set free."
I'm still in favor of a strong Scandinavian name. Like Jörmungandr.
