I think Alpengeist looks better, although I haven't been on either. It's bigger and seems to have a more exciting layout. It also comes close to foliage and such which makes it even better.

Both are world class inverted coasters though, I think.

Alpie.

Although the Batwing is just delicious, the rest of Montu's elements just didn't seem to give as much kick.

Both seem to die at the end.. something I've seen in most B&M Inverts I've been on.

They are both amazing though, as Alpie is only one spot above Montu is my Top 10.

Montu. I thought Alpengeist die more at the end, I loved the corkscrew out of one trench and into another. I think I preferred the theming on Montu... especially with the more ride interaction (the wall, all the trenches, etc). In terms of layout, I also preferred Montu, although there's not a very big difference in this case. Both are some of the best inverts around, but I'll take Montu.

Ah, invert battle. The Giant verses the 7-inverter.

I've only ridden Alpie, but it was fantastic. The sheer size of this beast was staggering, the force was just fierce (especially in the cobra roll), and the theming is just ace as well. The only real advantage to Montu, as far as I can see, is the Batwing, and I highly doubt that makes up for the size, speed, and force difference.

Alpie, please.

How do you know that Montu's forces aren't equal? Just because it's not as big doesn't mean the forces are going to be less. Actually, it's usually the opposite; the more compact the ride or element is, the more forceful it'll probably be.

That Batwing is probably the strongest inversion I've been on aside from Flyer Pretzel Loop.. easily the best element on both rides tbh.

Montu's batwing is good, but Alpengeist's cobra roll is better IMO, especially if you ride in the back. The forces there are ridiculous... they seperated me from my old cell phone :p

This poll has been done to death.

I've only ridden Montu and I thought it sucked. It completely died after the batwing. Alpengeist appeals more and looks better.... so assuming it doesn't suck as much as Montu I'll give it my vote here.

I've read quite a few reviews, including Snoo's right there, that said that the rest of Montu aside from the Batwing isn't incredibly forceful. And while all of Alpengeist's inversions are massive, the speed at which the train goes through them makes for some serious force on every inversion, especially the cobra roll, which has the most intense positive forces I've ever felt.
