CoasterForce’s Favourite California Rollercoasters

Sorry for double posting, but 1st July has now arrived, and I have the results of this poll ready for y’all! And they’re certainly intriguing! In this poll, 14 members ranked 34 different roller coasters, and the top 10 is as follows:

1. X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Arrow, 2002, Final Score 0.1834319527)
2. Tatsu at Six Flags Magic Mountain (B&M, 2006, Final Score 0.2809917355)
3. Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain (RMC, 2015, Final Score 0.28125)
4. GhostRider at Knott’s Berry Farm (CCI, 1998, Final Score 0.4320987654)
5. Xcelerator at Knott’s Berry Farm (Intamin, 2002, Final Score 0.57)
6. Riddler’s Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain (B&M, 1998, Final Score 0.8775510204)
7. RailBlazer at California’s Great America (RMC, 2018, Final Score 1)
8. Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (RMC, 2016, Final Score 1.1 recurring)
9. Apocalypse at Six Flags Magic Mountain (GCI, 2009, Final Score 1.16 recurring)
10. Full Throttle at Six Flags Magic Mountain (Premier Rides, 2013, Final Score 1.36)

An interesting set of results, don’t you think? From these, I can infer that the mean opening year of CF’s favourite California roller coasters is 2007.7, which I’ll round up to 2008. That’s newer than the favourites in the UK and Florida, but older than the favourites in Germany (I think?)!

Also, we have quite a diverse range of manufacturers in there, with 3 RMCs, 2 B&Ms, and then Arrow, CCI, Intamin, GCI and Premier Rides each getting an entry! Interestingly, 4 out of the 10 rides are also wooden/hybrid coasters (2 wooden, 2 hybrid), which is a greater percentage than in the other polls!
