COTALAND | Texas | Gerstlauer Infinity Shuttle (Palindrome) & Vekoma Tilt (Circuit Breaker) & Others

Yesterday, I went to Austin to check out the 4DX showing of Twisters. This small trip also warranted me to check out the current status of COTALAND.
-Construction continues between Palindrome and Circuit Breaker.
-The S&S Screamin Swing parts are next to a refurbished Tilt a Whirl tub.
-Giant Wheel and their Super Slide are packed away, either to be sold or moved to their new areas.

I did some research into the offered jobs and more have appeared!
-VP of Food and Beverage, Concession Stand Supervisor, and Culinary Supervisor are now listed on Linkedin! The park could have some amazing local faire ie Amy's Ice Creams, Torchy's Tacos, and Terry Blacks BBQ. There is also a chance that they could try their hand at a Potato Patch stall with one of the mascots being Couch Potatoes from an old Furniture store.

Additional info from the latest ThrillNerds construction update:
-Mini golf work is swiftly occurring with a good chance it will open in a few months.
-Flooring work for the station of Palindrome is complete, just the roof and additional features remain.
-Work has not yet commenced on where SkyBlazer will be added.
-There has been a massive amount of activity around Circuit Breaker for both the coaster and additional infrastructure.
-Trench work for the Circuit Breaker tunnel continues.
-Possible station work for Circuit Breaker has footings in place.
-The creator will try to visit every two weeks which considering the fast construction process will be total eye candy for the park and attractions!

Let's get this motor back running and hit the road with an update from ThrillNerds!

-Tower work with platforms continues for electronics and mechanical.
-The tilt track is currently preparing to be hoisted up to the tower.
-The roof for the Palindrome is almost done with electrical work in progress.

Further updates from this month;

Permits were filed for the construction of their SBF Visa log flume, which has been sitting around since Spring 2023. The project is valued at $5 million and should be completed by the end of April 2025.

COTA is also in the midst of raising $65 million for amusement park construction. Per latest permits they've achieved $46.46 million of that from a handful of unknown donors. Sounds like a middle ground between the Saudi infinite money glitch and projects battling for funds mid-construction. Finances seem stable and it helps to have the racetrack attached, but perhaps not the smoothest sailing of developments?

What impeccable timing with the previous news and a ThrillNerds update!
-More mechanical/electrical work with the Circuit Breaker tower continues.
-Many construction workers are on site working on the project to attempt to make the 2025 opening!
-The tunnel for Circuit Breaker is now done, and the second tunnel is beginning to be worked on too.
-Footers for Circuit Breaker are also continuing to be worked on.
-The area where SkyBlazer will be is in the groundwork stage, an exciting sight to see for a flat ride that currently exists only in concept/parts!
-Palindrome station roof is complete, and control booth work is in progress.
-The area between Palindrome and Circuit Breaker is almost completely flat from dirt.

Here is some additional info about the mini golf course almost being done!
-Mini golf features racing-themed pars with a loop, tire entry points, a rock tunnel, and more!
-Artificial turf is currently being installed.

Permits have been filled for a dining facility with a rooftop terrace! The completion date is set for 4/30/2025. This proves the terrace would be an amazing place to eat, relax, and photograph their headlining attractions!

-The area between Palindrome and Circuit Breaker continues and if the 2-level restaurant is installed there it will provide some breathtaking views of the park and the last turns of the award-winning circuit.
-Water piping is preparing to be installed for the utilities of park operations.
The land clearing next to Palindrome left of the road has been confirmed to be for Skyblazer.
-Palindrome station work continues with the roof, airgates, and operator box in place.

There is a chance that more intel will be given during the premiere of Legacy of Schwarzkopf next week and I am ecstatic to see the film, the progress, and meet some of the biggest supporters and fans of this project!

Yesterday's Legacy of Schwarzkopf event brought new sights to see during construction and more intel!
-Circuit Breaker's brake run is now in place.
-The Big Apple and Fun Slide are being set up next to the Soaring Eagle attraction.
-When I finished the festivities during the ERT on Texas Wildcat almost no attractions were in place at the Grand Plaza, only Palindrome and the one I mentioned are still there. Perhaps the rest are waiting for their new home/storage for the park.
-During the opening remarks, the president said to stay tuned for information, there is a very good chance that we will hear more about the park during Winterfest 2025.
-On the back of the pamphlet that every seat had, the last page stated that "BIG THINGS ARE ON OUR HORIZON". It also states that the park may open in the summer of 2025. This could be proof that the park after its opening is planning yet another blockbuster attraction(s) for the foreseeable future.
