Disneyland Paris Announce 3rd Park

^ Ha! That looks AWFUL! It doesn't even fit!

I disagree.. It fits perfectly? Santa Fe is themed to route 66 and the surrounding countryside, so is Cars? At least now it actually looks like a movie rather than a painting.

Yeah, I like that billboard there too, and I don't even LIKE Cars. What was there before, wasn't in some sort of billboard to do with the Dollars trilogy or something equally not Disney?

LOL that is just the picture that was in the movie park the other year :)

In relation to the topic, a Marvel Super Hero park would be terrible. Probably about as bad as that bilboard. The only thing that would impress me would be if it had mucho bigo ride-o. B&M coasters, blah blah. But then it would just be a Marvel Super Hero Island rip-off and it wouldn't be a Disney park. I guarantee a Marvel park would feel nothing like a Disney park, thus having no place on Disney property.

AMEN to that. I couldn't agree more.

If they want to go big with more thrilling rides I would rather see they tie into something they already have which are scarier and larger than life... VILLAINS!

Yes, that probably the only way to get larger coasters to fit in with the true Disney theme.

Make them quite obviously outwardly scary so that they can cover themselves for the rides NOT being child-friendly! :)

My thoughts exactly. If you think about it, all the rides that are that bit more intense tend to carry older themes. Tower Of Terror certainly does. The name says it all and sets up exactly what kind of experience you will have. By calling a B&M invert something like 'The Curse of Maleficent' or an Intamin Mega-Coaster something like 'Escape From Jafar' they would instantly be telling the guests that these are no fluffy bunny singalongs...

Just because they plonk something from a film somewhere where something less recognisable was doesn't mean it's good. I think that's what makes a majority of Disney hotels great, that they have a level of Disney-ness without having to resort to characters or films. Tasteful characters I'm very fond of, but that isn't tasteful at all. It's crap. It's things like that which creates one of the factors as to why World Showcase is loosing it's magic, and so many other areas on Disney property.

Mark, I love those ideas!

10 years away is a massively long time anyway. I don't get this Villages Nature thing. Is this a theme of new things to come and the third park will be an addition part of this or is this something completely different or what? Personally I don't get it right now.

^ That Nature thing isn't anything to do with Disney, its a part of the Va'l de Europe shopping area.

Before this is was a picture of Clint Eastwood in the Dollars trilogy. How is that any LESS "characters or films" just because it's not a "proper Disney" film?

What was there was tacky and awful, this is pretty tacky and awful. What changed?

Its not as tacky and awful as you might think as the actual idea behind it is that its meant to represent a cinema screen and the car park is then meant to look like one of those drive in cinemas that they have in America.

Clearly hasn't worked though

Cheers for calirfying that up with the nature thing. I did wonder of it's relevance.

I just don't like it when they use every little possibility to put something from one of their popular films there. That's all.

Just so some peeps dont get confused, thats nothing to do with the third park, thats the Villages Nature resort thingy.
