What's new

Do you wanna know what really grinds my gears?

I decided I might go to Drayton Manor soon, except it's more expensive this month (I think it's due to some Viking event I don't care about) than next month and the day I wanted to go, Sunday the 15th, it's not even open for some unexplained reason. I was hoping to squeeze it in before the Live weekend as I haven't done a park since May but I guess I will have to do it afterwards and close out the year with it.

For me, at the time of Hyperia's extended closure - what was annoying was that the park did staff only ride day when there were guests there. If I was the guest visiting that day, I'd be very annoyed at that (I was luckily not visiting that day and out of the country).

I don't think that was quite the right move and I'd have thought it would've been better to do a "Soft Opening" - maybe for passholders only if reduced numbers are needed?

There's quite a few other things including assigned seating, empty seats and not calling up for single riders, people holding up the queue, the main queue being neglected for ages in favour of fast track and Ride Access Passes, no single rider policies on some rides (looking at Legoland Windsor) and the fact Merlin have removed Log Flumes from their parks without direct replacements.
