I love it. So long as you don't have either of the restraints down too tight it's bloody great.

Slammer is a funny one.

At night, Slammer is one of the best flat rides I've been on.

During normal hours, I enjoy it whichever side I sit on, however I never feel fully satisfied when I sit on the backwards first side.

It's intense in a demanding way, as opposed to forceful. I like it.

It's worth a long queue. It's one of the best rides in the park.

Oh no!
Slammer is totally bull****! I mean.. it hurts your shoulders and, at least for me, it gives you headache and I don't like the overall experience.

As long as there's sufficiently little queue, I like it, although it is a little predictable... ie: you sit there and it spins in a circle, doing virtually the same every time, and for the rider, it's extremely passive, with you sitting there and... well being spun.

Other than the fact that it's a novelty ride, it's quite a nice novelty ride, and the experience is good while it lasts, and will probably please the crowds, which is guess is what Thorpe actually wants.

I'm really not fussed with this ride, I think I agree with Joey, because of downtime and the amount of hang time and also the huge wait at the end for it to come down its become rather boring and not a great ride experience.

i dont like slammer but if i have to i will ride it but on sunday i went on with my blind friend and the just as we started to move it stop and we had to get off but for that we were sitting there for like 20 mins its just not fun to have to wait so long for the ride to start.

so i say no

Slammer looked spectacular, at first. We went on a school trip to Thorpe, and my friends and i were making such a fuss to go and try it, the new Slammer.. As soon as we got on it, i wasn't as sure anymore. The restraints were so uncomfortable and weird, and although the forward motion is alright and the view of the park great, the backwards motion is not as enjoyable. Strange design and experience..i felt like a cripple on the ride due to the strange harness- well maybe i put the harness down too tight. But still, not really worth queuing ages for, i'd rather go on Samurai or rush. It depends on your taste. I'm more for the thrill then the physically intense!

Ots good because its only 2hrs from me!

i've only been on it 3 times due to down-time and long queues, but i enjoy it actually!!!!!!

Well I really went off it, and had my first go on it this season yesterday (thanks to Kir). And infact it made me remember why I liked it so much last season, yep, I enjoy Slammer again yaay :D

The problem with Slammer is that it breaks down too often because they made the ride too quickly. It looks fun and I was hoping to go on it today but it wasn't working, as usual. I think Rush is better than Slammer.

Well, it's good because it carries alot of people but it takes a long time to load and it's a slow ride.

I really like Slammer. I don't find the restraints uncomfortable at all, though they are pretty weird. I woulnd't queue that long for it, but when going to Thorpe, I do make the effort to get at least one ride on it.

I Love Slammer, and sicne the first tie i rode it, i've ridden it what about 15 times. Slammer rocks, the reason it may give you sore shoulder's is because you probably pull the shoulder restraint down to much!! They do warn you about this ebfore the ride now:-

"Do not pull the shoulder restraint down to much, as it may cause dis comfort"

Slammer Beats rush, and i love rush, rush beats samurai, samurai beats vortex!!

Slammer is the best flat ride at thorpe, i find it very enjoyable!!

It's the whole head rush sensation and flying through the air!!

I hate it, it may be somehting new to europe but its really painful and i just dont get a feeling of adrenalin on it like i do for all the others. It hurts my back and i find it really boring tbh. I dont know why but it seemed better last year
