and for the first time, Energylandia is building.... A B&M!!

For comparison, here's anchor bolts from Rapterra:)

Impossible to tell the ride model at this stage, but based on the size/bolt count of the far footer in the 2nd picture, that should be a pretty large column

Wow, a B&M was not what I was expecting! I thought they were getting another Vekoma, or possibly an Intamin. This project is turning out to be very interesting

My money's on a surf coaster. Given their current lineup, what else could this park possibly need?

I suppose the answer is a flyer or a wing, but they don't have much of a USP at this point.

Never expected to feel crestfallen upon the announcement of a new B+M, yet here we are. It's hard to get excited about them, their manoeuvres are outdated and all the new ones have that rattle.

My money is on a bang average dive like Iron Menace - real 'we have a tilt coaster at home' vibes.

Surf coaster would be funny. But we can't expect the park with 752 boomerangs to prioritise uniqueness, can we!

If I could pick, I’d go with a Giga. But realistically, a Winger or Surf coaster appears to me most likely. Let’s see what the layout looks like.

Edit: Totally forgot that dive coasters are a thing. Maybe Europe’s first large dive coaster? (Oblivion doesn’t count)

I agree, I think it’s gonna be a stupid dive coaster, I’m so over them as well! I wish that model would just die at this point, I already know my home park sfmm is gonna get a giga dive eventually

I'm sorry I refuse to believe it's a B&M, it's not possible surely. Better bloody not be 😢

On a serious note from me...

Pretty much anything from B&M's catalogue adds to Energylandia's line up:

-Wing, Surf and Flying coasters aren't at the park
-Though Hyperion and Zadra have very steep drops, a Dive Coaster would feel different
-An Invert would be great, and be different from the SLC (plus we know they don't care about similar rides)
-A Hyper or Giga would again be different in style to Hyperion

The only meh addition would be a Junior Invert.

B&M might not set the world alight any more, and there might have been more interesting options the park could have taken, but I'm intrigued and excited for what could be.

I'd love to see the flying coaster make a comeback.

My money's on a wing coaster. Roughness aside, that would make the most sense with the lineup. Could see them going for a big one.

Really hoping it's not a dive.

But how hilarious would it be if they put in a junior invert?

It is funny how reception of the concept of a new B&M has plummeted in the last few years… I do still quite like the sound of a big new European B&M, but I do think there are more exciting options now in some cases and the reception of some recent installations is concerning, to say the least.

I’ll admit I’m surprised if Energylandia have gone for a B&M. They didn’t seem like the sort of park to go for one, and it’s quite unusual to see a park building its first B&M in this day and age. Lots of parks going for them currently seem to be parks that already have numerous B&Ms and/or in chains that already have quite a strong existing relationship with B&M (e.g. merged Six Flags/legacy Cedar Fair, SeaWorld).

I’d absolutely love a good old Fury or Orion-style giga for Energylandia (not least because hypers are easily my favourite B&M model), but I’m not sure I see this as the most likely option.

I’m thinking a Wing Coaster or a Dive Coaster is probably most likely (these are by far the most common B&M models to see at the moment), and I would quite like a Dive, to be fair. Particularly if it was a big one like Tormenta; I’d love to see a wide Dive Coaster in Europe!
