Its mee again! This time I visited Europa Park!
My family have made it a tradition to go here every time we go and visit my grandma, who lives in the Black Forest, about 2 hours away from this wonderful park. I've visited the park nearly once a year for the past 15 or so years, and its been really interesting seeing it develop over this time.
The park has a lot of rides. ALOT. This is one park that really is becoming a park that you cannot do in one day. Unfortunately this is how long I got in the park, so I have a lot less pictures and had to take them in a much more rushed way. The park has 4 hotels all to itself, along with atleast half a dozen B&Bs and a privately owned hotel next door in the town, and I can see why. The park is definitely worth a two day visit to take it all in.
PART 1 - ENTRANCE, GERMANY, ITALY AND FRANCE.
The park can be seen from miles around, and to get to the car park you have to drive down the side of the park, which would have been a good photo op of Blue Fire, but the two pictures I took were REALLY blurred. Oop.
But after that the first thing you see in the car park iiis..
Silver Star!
And Also Pegasus and Poseidon.
Sorry about the sky, the only time I managed to take pictures of the majoritory of this ride was in the morning. Sadly my battery died too son!
Although I must say the sky looks pretty cool in these. 'Moody'. Even if it is kinda grey..
The drop now has a scream guard to deflect screaming and such. Poor Silver Star.
Helix not so much of death, more of casual turning..
CLOSE UP
Yaay! Euromaus!! What I love about this park is that Mack must have had a holiday in Florida just before they created it and were like 'OMG WE'RE STEALING LOTS OF DISNEY IDEAS!'
Looking back towards the car park and Silver Star..
Yaaay! Entraaance!
This is my ticket, courtesy of Tesco!
Looking down 'Germany'.
Yeah it was early in the morning.. my mum was rushing.. my pictures blurred..
Full of random german architecture. Lovely!
YAAAY EUROMAUS WAVED AT MEEEE
More random buildings..
They make you wait just past here until the park officially opens. Then its HAVOCK as everyone tries to run all the way across the park to Blue Fire to find out that it wont open till 11. *shakes fist*
This is only a minor section of Germany, as it includes the Castle gardens further on from this point, which are pretty beautiful, much better upkept compared to Alton's. Alas, I didn't get pictures of those due to bad camera batteries!
Next up in the countryfile we have Italy.
Yes we doo.
That building in the back is the Ghost house. Rips off disney with the streching rooms, singing heads and doom buggies. They added some pretty laughable effects since id last been on, they were quite terrible LOL.
Italy is full of pretty fountains.
And random easter decorations.
In the middle of the bridge..
Yeah okay, I suck at picture taking..
Welcome to Epcot World Showcase!
They have a random wall with a hole.. and through the hole leads too..
The back of the 4D cinema!
New film this year about an alien looking turtle. What country are we in now though?!
Fraaaance!
Home to Spaceship Earth/Eurosat. This ride is randomly cool, and REALLY throws you about. Its basically Space Mountain inside the EPCOT ball. Oh also next to this is the random 'YAAY FOR ENERGY RIDE NOW LETS GO VISIT DINOSAURS!! ' ride. No pictures soorry.
This region of Germany has lots of water, so they don't feel bad with having 70 million fountains everywhere.
Vivaaaa laa fraaaance!
Its perdee.
The EuroTower!
Behind it is a random eatery.
But for now.. lets go uup!! The park is celebrating its 34th year open. Craazy I remember being there for the 25th celebrations.. OLD.
Oh god, sometimes my photo-skills are embarrassing. I added them anyway to show you some of the park though. This is Italy.
Some of the random gardens with car and boat rides. I had to miss this whole section of the park out due to time restraints =(
This type of boat ride seems very popular in Germany.. Heide Park has one too.
They have a huuge kiddy area not themed to Europe. This time its VIKINGS VS LARGE BRAND OF SUNCREAM AND OTHER CREAM STUFFS NIVEA. FIIIGHT!!
This shows just how close the park is to its neighbouring town of Rust. Theres NO room to expand this way..
Then this is looking towards the back of the park, and its four hotels.
Eurosat and the random 'ENERGY AND DINOSAURS YAAAY' ride.
And heres a Unique shot of Silver Star.
Now lets go ride!
The queue starts towards the right hand side into the building.
The coaster has a new paintjob.. again.
These are the most anticlimactic lights ever. It has all the build up and then GREEEN and... The train slowly moves forward.. Boo.
Well thats the end of part one! Part two will contain Swizerland and Greece and England I think.
