Everland | T-Express partial retracking | 2024

It makes sense to go with RMC for cost and durability. We will see more and more wooden coasters getting steel track replacement whether we like it or not. Personally I am a huge fan of wooden coasters. I think wood track is a better fit with smaller or moderate size coasters. But for the bigger ones steel track is more durable and ensures smoothness for a long period of time.

The track is glittering by the sun, and reflects the light as seen. A clue of steel track.

Def looks like RMC 208 ReTraK

Any opinions welcome!

Not sure what kind of tracks are used in this turnaround. Everland took these out in off season.

This is great to see, but this park, along with all the parks in the Seoul area, is desperate for a new coaster. The fact that they're already retracking their newest coaster just emphasises how little they've added in the meantime (16 years!)

Lotte haven't added one since 2003 and Seoul Land since 1996, and even that was just a kiddy coaster. The newest coaster in the area is at Children's Grand Park, and that's just a Vekoma family suspended which is now 10 years old.

Lotte and Everland have been adding other stuff, sure, and moving to a more family market, but in terms of coasters, it's all a bit crap really.

Maybe the next post, ride review will be the last post in this thread. I'll go ride on the third day of opening.
I hope it runs without any problem, and hope RMC concludes their first big 208 RetraK project without issues.
Always, thanks for everyone involved in this project: Everland Attraction Maintenance Team, RMC technicians, construction workers who did hard work 24/7, and more.

The ride has opened successfully in Apr,6th. The retracked part is very smooth, and the bang after the 1st airtime hill has gone. The transition between Intamin and RMC track is unnoticeable. Good work RMC. Still, the train shakes a lot in the S curve. After MCBR, the train hauls through a course. Feels like much faster than 2022.

Can you choose your row?

Yes you can usually choose your row.
If you want very front or back, you may wait 3 or more trains.
In some situations like the very last few trains of the day, or in a rain, the CM can persuade you to use empty rows.

More Tips:
In many days, T Express (and some other rides-2 Safari rides, Panda exhibits) requires Smart Queueing ( Virtual Queueing ) From 10AM to 1:30 PM. You need to download Everland mobile App, and scan your ticket to the app system. As soon as you enter the park, go to attractions menu-> select T Express-> and select Start Smart Queueing. The app will show return time. At return time, scan your smart queueing QR code at the ride entrance, and you can enter physical queue. (If you miss the return time, the reservation is cancelled) It will take about 30 minutes wait to ride.

What if smart queueing is full?
If it is full, the standby wait will start about 1:30~2 PM. If you want T Express, be there about 1PM-1:30. The sign says standby wait will start at 2, but it always starts early.
