What's new

Fantasiana | Helios | Mack Stryker Coaster | 2025

Yeah the rain is a tire drive tire thing and it's a fairly common issue with these types of rides. Not necessarily a Pax thing. Some parks have put covers over their tire drives as one solution.

But yes, the park did explicitly confirm that the ride will not run at all with any rain.

Also a word of warning for anyone that's planning to go. The seatbelts on Wild Train are fairly restrictive and they won't let you ride if you're unable to close them. The person I was with is not particularly big and never had any problems anywhere else, but he just barely managed to close the seatbelt on Wild Train.

Not watching through the whole thing but judging by the start and one of the top replies to the pinned comment it seems like it's basically because they can't get spares for the drive tires (so they're just way too worn to be useful unless conditions are perfect) from PAX be it because they don't make em anymore or because sanction caused lack of cargo movement between Russia and the EU.

Conny Land won't have the same issue I guess cause they redid most of Cobra with EU manufacturers.
From what i heard, it's not a spare parts issue. They still had no issues getting spare parts for Wild Train. It's just that the welds on the track are in such a bad state that they can't even be repaired. This is why they've had so much trouble finding a buyer for it too, even in countries where it's easier to get spare parts from Russia.

I am going this Friday, have been keeping an eye on the weather and looks fairly safe at the moment!

Just hoping they don’t knock out a Wild Train support with a digger or anything before then 😂

Did you make it?? And if so was it worth it?

Yes! I was there last Friday 18th and had perfect weather luckily. The seatbelts are indeed rather short, was a bit of a squeeze! Did 4 rides on Wild Train and it was certainly a unique coaster! The front row was janky as hell but good fun and airtime at the back.

The park itself was nice too, the indoor drop tower ride (same system as Nemesis Sub Terra) and recent ART coaster were particularly good and well themed attractions.

It is a tiny park though so the Mack will be an interesting addition and hopefully a game changer for them. There were more staff than guests there last week!

Awesome, so glad it worked out for you! It does look like a really cute park. I'm still planning to try this Friday, which is cutting it pretty fine but eh. The weather forecast looks good so far....

I caught a train 3 hours from Vienna and got spited by the rain.

Now to be fair I did get to ride the pax at Park St. Paul so I know what the wildness is all about, but I was still very salty about it.

Aw, that's rough! Did you still go to the park anyway? It looks a bit tricky to get to from the train station

Yeah it was a long day. A friend had been at Skyline Park the day before so he got me from the station on his way through. Spent a couple of hours in the park and did everything else, then we drove to Familypark, which was rammed.

The one at parc saint paul is nowhere near as crazy as Fantasiana.

Rode Wild Train on Wednesday. What a fantastic ride.

I believe this is now the end as it's passed 9pm in Austria. Rest in peace. Sad loss, but its death will be worthwhile.

It was a tight fit with the seatbelt, but I also rode Wild Train this last Wednesday. What a great ride. Ridiculous airtime yet still surprisingly comfortable. I know the Mack will be cool, but I will certainly miss this crazy ride. Enjoyed a number of laps over the afternoon including night rides during their Halloween event. And left with a wheel for my troubles. I was hoping I wouldn't be flying 6 hours to find this closed-- happy I got lucky!

Sad to see. A berserk ride in all the best ways. Here's hoping that the new Mack will be good enough to be considered a worthy replacement.
