In one of the weirder bits of news recently, while starting construction of a new park in the Chinese city of Luoyang the ever busy Fantawild has uncovered hundreds of ancient tombs.
Which as you might imagine has delayed the project somewhat.

Local authorities are currently carrying out archaeological excavation work across the site. The discovered ancient tombs range from the Han and Tang Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. (Which is somewhat over 2000 years of history I believe)

The tombs take up quite a large proportion of the Fantawild site

Hundreds of individual sites have already been excavated

I imagine this will take some time

I suspect the news article linked below somewhat undersells the issue by saying "how to advance the project without destroying cultural relics and sites is undoubtedly a complex and sensitive issue"

But knowing China perhaps it could be the worlds most authentic haunted house attraction?

A video of the site can be found here

well... guess its no longer going to be an amusment park, but a museum of ancient history

I've barely ever heard about a Fantawild park getting more attractions after their initial opening, but it surely has to be a first to get more attractions before they've even opened.
