Re: Florida 2014: Day 25, Magic Kingdom WDW
The final addition!
Tuesday 12th August: Day 26, Homecoming
The 4 weeks of theme parking in Florida were over. It was time to pack our bags and head on over to Orlando International for the long flight back to Gatwick. I was up at 8am packing my final things, my case came to an impressive 25kg (the limit was 23kg but I won't tell anyone if you don't). Before we left I went around the villa and took some photos.
I slept in the bed on the left. The one on the right was for me to rest my charging electronics.
Paint me like one of your French girls
This, as I'm sure you can guess, was our pool. What made me laugh was every one of our neighbour's pools were all different shapes and sizes, no symmetry at all!
I enjoyed flooding our spa buy blocking the outlet with my stomach xD
This was the living room-kitchen-diner area.
And this, the front of the villa.
Here is our hire car, pretty big!
Packing the suitcases was like Tetris. Mine is the one in the middle.
We had a games room which features a pool table, table football table and darts. I won't post pictures of these as you know what they look like.
Not long after 10am we were of and said goodbye to the villa for the last time. We quickly went to the mall, I can't remember why now, but alas. We then went to Golden Corral for lunch!
Such beauty.
Yet more beauty!
Then we made our way to MCO, Orlando International Airport. I was impressed at the scale of it here.
We made our way through the security and to our gate. I went off to look around the airport shops. I very nearly bought 3 more tshirts but decided against it. I'd already bought 21!
We boarded our plane and before long we were taking off and saying a very fond farewell to Florida.
Bye bye!
The flight back was long and dull. It was an overnight flight, but as we were travelling from west to east, we only saw about 3 hours of night time. We were treated to quite an impressive sunrise from 38,000ft.
I tried to sleep but couldn't manage it. Instead, I watched Frozen for the first time! What a great film.
I also got a personal best on the Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Wooo £250,000. I can go back to Florida now. The food was also ****.
But before long we arrived back in British airspace. We passed over Brighton.
Look at that geology!
And we touched down at Gatwick Airport.
We made our way though customs and into the arrivals terminal where my dad was waiting to pick us up. After 4 weeks, it was good to see him. When we stepped outside the cold morning hit us like a wall, such a contrast in comparison to Florida.
We went to Toby Carvery for a buffet breakfast. It was delicious.
And that, is just about it. My trip report is finally complete, sorry it has taken so long!
Thank you very much to all that have read my report over the last few months.
I had such an amazing time in Florida and will never be able to thank Mr. Stephen, Angela, Daniel and Sarah enough for taking me with them on their family holiday. I had an amazing time, I really did as I'm sure you can tell from my report.
