LOL :p

There's a difference in height of 12.62m between highest and lowest points on the land where this is being built, and its going to have 196 supports. Fascinating.

:)

Looking good!

I just hope that they manage to open it within 5 weeks so I'll be able to ride it when we get there...

I guess it is a pretty quick ride. Guess the one train operation won't hurt it too bad.

I love the overbanks. They're beautiful.

And ya know what, when I first saw the train, I was like 'woo, they're finalling running these with 2 cars".....

MS officially suck when it comes to capacity.

That looks awesome! Nic, when we going? :p

To be honest, I think this is a pretty small park, I reckon they won't have too many issues with just that one train.

So, the brakes for this are on the launch track?
It uses the LSM to either store energy for the next launch, or if the crowds are light launch you straight away for a second run :)

Too bad that they have moved up the opening date 2 weeks, it would mean that we would miss it by a few days :(
But you never know, just have to stay updated on the progress really...

In the First Drop magazine (issue 88), it says:
"It will let the train run into the linear synchronous motors at the end of the ride, where they'll be used as brakes. In doing this, energy is created and fed back into the storage capacitors, which are then fully charged up for the launch."

So Loefet is completely right :p

Testing with a running start.

Potentially, they could do a dual loading station design like the Mr. Freeze coasters have. That way they could bump up the capacity and run 2 trains while remaining completely safe.. Though I doubt that is what they did.
