... it was just AMAZING! I'm forgetting so many people and things, spite <\3 RACHEL ADEDAJI!

Did anyone else realise that our first ride of ERT on Vampire almost killed half of CF? When our train got to the bottom of the second lift hill we stalled and didn't reach the chain and it started up trying to pull us up when we weren't there. It was funny at first but then we heard the other train come of the first lift hill and began bricking it as there's no MCBR. Luckily there was a slight tilt on the track and we slowly and eventually rolled onto the lift although I don't think we had long left. :p

Truely awesome few days! I had a little flu in me, but I managed through!

Thanks to everyone who orgainsed this, and to Erols ERT, event though Vampire murdered me!

I think its the first time Thorpe has been on top form for the event! It was brilliant, and I was suprised.

As sooo many good times happened, the video will take extra long time to build. I have to extend the soundtrack!

This room is covered in glow sticks!!

Also can anyone quote neal at chessy about my black spots?

As my photos are now up, I'd best write a report before they get tagged to badgery!

Things we have learned from Chessington:
- Do not give a four year old inflatable weapons in a tight queue
- Do not then encourage that child to use them
- Do not trust that child not to drop your camera
- There is only ONE death
- The Dragon's Fall queue gets steeply homosexual at the end
- Peter breaks things, but not while using them to hit people
- Glo-Sticks are fun, but not any good for recreating coaster elements
- Giant penguins can be many things
- Lain deserved it
- So did Tom
- Queues suck almost as much as far away car parks on mud
- Chessington characters are made of win
- So are spacker bands
- family_furie can arrive on time if we are not told at what time to arrive

Erm, some other stuff I'm sure. Thanks to Mark for the fab organising, and to Gavin for keeping me (and MMF) sane when stuck between the goon and the gay (wait...!?!? ). Was nice to final say hello to Dave too - sorry we didn't get a great deal of time to chat :(

I think I either talked to, or bullied pretty much everyone I needed too, if I didn't, I hope that you managed to talk to or bully a member of the family_furie to make up for it :)

Photos then, because everyone wants to see what they look like! :)

We started the day with a US breakfast of donuts. Not Dunkin', but still nom!

We did manage to fit in Hocus Pocus Hall though

Hey everyone!!! Just wated to say thanks for a great first Ghosterforce!! I was only able to do Chessie but it was fantastic to see everyone and meet new people (old CFers, new to me!) Im really looking forward to next season!! hopefully il be able to join in a bit more (on the proviso of my mum babysitting :p )

so yeah! thanks to Ian and Mark for organising GF and I think you are all awesome!!!!! :p

I have taken a few photos so I suppose I'll write a little trip report.

Set off with an hour and a half to get to Staines to get Will, Cathy, AJ and small_tom, drove past lost of ominous looking chav filled 950s, left me feeling a little nervous for what the day would end up like.

After picking up said CFers we then headed for Thorpe (yay?). My Corsa of Certain Death made LOTS of interesting noises and, accompanied with my fabulous driving skills, could very possibly have been counted as a credit.

After we arrived we had AJ related costume faff and then continued to meet with the group, woohoo! GF09 has officially begun!

I won't go into the details about what happened at Thorpe because, well, you were all there, but what I will say is this, Thorpe have definitely redeemed themselves for March_fail. I went to three Fright Nights this year and all of them were near perfect, well done Thorpe! (finally!!!)

After Thorpe was Travelodge times, where various insanities occurred. These included: being given a Master Key, swirling rampofdoom, rum, Barack Obama, broken toilet seats, twilight pizza, glowsticks, too much information times, lots of bruising and amusing Neal associated Bible readings.

So, onto Chessington, which for once for me was NOT the better of the two parks (sorry Chessie, I still love you really!)

Because we had nothing better to do a few of us headed out early. Apparently Leighton was still a bit drunk from the night before because he exited the Travelodge by falling out of it, resulting in the best stack of the Live! There was smashed glass and everything! XD

We had brief animal times shortly followed by morning Dragon's Fury. Then Neal pretened to be Bram Stoker and said 'You have taken my perfectly legitimate idea of vampires and made them SPARKLE!' This made me laugh lots of set the tone for the rest of the day.

Then meet ups etc happened and we had inflatable not-hammers. There were guns however which proved in the Bubbleworks queue to be lotsoffun. Maxi-minor_furie agrees XD Bubbleworks was VERY wet because the boat of ridiculous people I was in decided it would be a good idea to try and sink it. This resulted in not only boat pile-up but also the best fountain-section experience ever! I wish I'd bought the ORP now because it was quite good.

Then some other things happened that have all blurred into one ball of win, so I shall summarise the rest of the day:

Racist jokes, weird bridge man, breaking Tomb Blaster, queue singing, Rameses Revenge IN THE DARK, Glowsticks, Vampire ERT, goon going home, Dragon's Fury IN THE DARK and swinging ship shouty times.

The only sad bit was saying goodbye =[

For me, 2009 has outshone 2008 by a LONG shot, can't wait to see what 2010 brings. I want to thank not only Mark for this amazing Live, but also everyone else who has organised things throughout the year, you've made this year amazing for me!

Have some photos:

Not to sound really pathetic but not all of us were there so a few accounts of what you actually did would be interesting to read.

It just seems like Thorpe hates me in general.

Am I the only one who actually struggles to remember anything specific that happened at these events other than IT WAS GOOD.

Was the best GhosterForce yet, I think, overall. Thorpe managed to match Chessington this year. If not perhaps even be a little better.

Some highlights:
Dragging friends along who really seemed to enjoy themselves
Stone in COSTUME. lol
Saw in the dark is actually good
Catching up with everyone, since I feel like I haven't attended many lives this year
Persuading Lain to turn up
Pizza place at Chessington
Avoiding Steven in the Tomb Blaster queue
GLOWSTICKS
Song times in the Vampire queue
Tim's annual fashionably late appearance at Chessington
Losing miserably at the glowstick fight on the train against Neil

I had a great time! Cheers to everyone that went and more specifically: Mark for the fantastic organisation
Ian for assisting said organisation, glowsticks, floor space and food
Big John and Tanya for carting me around and for Lodge space

Nice to see some new faces at this Live too, there has been a lack of them this year. Shame I didn't talk to any of you more!

Have some group photos until I can get the Facebook Photo Uploader to work.
These may take a while to shrink to page size. I've cropped them but haven't re-sized so the quality remains.

Great photos Rach, as always! =]

PS. Neal, your underwear now resides somewhere in the Tolworth Travelodge XD

thoroughly enjoyed GF09, have only just finished unpacking and catching up, and I'm shattered so sort post.

pre booking Thorpe worked out brilliantly and is one in the eye for the doubters..... Met lots of new people who I had never spoken to before and spoke to some that Id not had much to do with.
I felt quite crap at times during the weekend (i know it was Mon Tue but its still weekend lol) seeing Kir!! I missed you, come back more!!
Everyone else has already done most of the highlights so I'll leave it to those who are good at it lol.

Thanks to Mark for organising
Thanks Ian for the floor space (not thanks for the airbed ;-) ) and for the amazing breakfast! glow-sticks and keeping cf running so can have phases of dropping in and out, I'm back btw.
Thanks Mr Stone for the lift to Thorpe and letting me drive your arguably drunk ass back to the lodge, thanks for the 4am wake up, honestly 20 min to get in the door?? and for the best quote ever, you know you drank too much the night before when you are woken up by a phone call from a gay man saying 'I have your shoes!'

Thanks to everyone really, I am going to have a cup of tea now as I have a sore throat from singing and shouting and feel quite fluey.

They're good photos Rach! :)

I'm still getting over the shock of seeing Stone Cold IN A COSTUME!!

Thorpe clearly spites me as the entire Live sounds like pure win! Keep the details coming - I'm assuming someone did RACHEL ADEDEJI in X-Factor stylee and it caught on....? And I want more info on the singing :p.

^^Don't worry Slayed. All singing will appear on video here once I've sorted through my files and edited them.
