Happy Valley Wuhan |"Dauling Dragon"| Gravity Group

I really like the look of that high five element, it's certainly an epic idea!

Without wanting to seem like a cynical and ungreatful bastard, I think this element would work better if the trains approached and passed in the opposite direction. Just imagine the adrenaline rush as a load of heads and waving arms are coming towards you!

^Ian, the whole previous page of this topic is pretty much people saying just that ;)

Hixee, I agree completely. This is entirely there just for visuals, and it'll be designed so that the trains are a safe distance apart. I was never suggesting, Benin, that the staggering of the trains was for safety purposes. IMO, that'd be silly. My point is (as Hixee picked up) that the visual impact (ie, the entire point of this element) is lost unless the cars are level as they enter it.

I'd completely forgotten about the weighing mechanism and stuff on DD to make sure that the trains run level. I really hope they've got something even vaguely similar to that here, or the entire thing will be rendered pointless.

I agree with you... I used your quote to show what part supported my original point of the staggering being wasteful... And was mainly aimed towards UC as possible alternative arrangements that the ride could do...

China throwing money around on roller coasters, companies must be rubbing their hands in glee over these buys.

I think the ride will be good, the high five element will be interesting to see, how long until the first fatality?

Don't know if these were posted, but more pictures!

When I first looked at that, I thought "Oh, wow, they're actually a hell of a lot closer together than I thought they'd be". Then I realised that those dark specks on the track are actually people, and sanity was restored.

I can't wait to see this completed. I can't help but think that the timing for the "High 5" section isn't going to be all that fantastic and only a minute section of each train being able to actually "High 5" - Not literal of course.

^ The timing is even off in the concept video.

Still, I would peg this as one of the most epic elements, up there with DD's dueling elements.

I love pictures and coasters with track like that all side by side. It's why I love that bend that Tomahawk and Stampida go round that has about 4 lanes of wooden coaster track. :p
This is looking good so far. :)

Reminds me of Lightning Racer quite a bit, for like, really obvious reasons.

Looks fab <3 Damn it not being near Shenzhen or Shanghai though <///3

I'm not sure I want to engage in a high-five at the kind of cross-speeds we're surely going to have here.
