Fairly simple topic. Post any quality about you as an enthusiast (taste in coasters, opinion on a certain coaster, ect.) that you believe was a result of your home park being your home park.

I'll start:
*I know Kings Island is my home park because when I rode Gwazi, it was actually a tad nostalgic because the roughness reminded me of Son of Beast.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because I automatically associate the Cincinnati Reds and Skyline Chili with an image of Rivertown and I have NO IDEA WHY.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because I faced my fear of heights twice in one day just to get pictures of them digging around and pouring ground up rock juice in the ground because it would one day become a new coaster there.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because I actually slightly LIKE Vortex.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because I've ridden Firehawk more than once.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because one of my fondest childhood memories is following my dad onto The Racer only for him to accidentally get me on the backwards side and leaving me terrified.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because every time somebody tells me that somebody died on Son of Beast because they fell out of the loop I nearly go off on them.
*I know Kings Island is my home park because I'm very much into the Beast/Diamondback night ride rivalry that exists between the two fan bases of the rides. (Team Beast! Woo!)

Anybody else? I'd love to hear any regional quirks/goonisms that come from other parts of the world because of other regional theme parks.

Do water park's count? If not then La Feria is my home park. Its a ghetto fair they make every holiday season and that's the closest we can get to coasters that does not involve travelling.

Adventure Island as it's a 5 min walk away.

But we live on the site of Southend Kursaal theme park.

I guess mine is Thorpe Park now as it's the closest I regularly visit. The closest geographically I believe is Wicksteed Park which I used to go to a lot.

My home park is Holiday Park, it´s the closest to my home, it´s the park I visit the most and the park I grew up with. It´s also the home of my favourite coaster and I know that it is my home park because after the EGF trains got a new paint job (why Plopsa why ???) I got really upset and remembered the good ol' times :p.

I guess Canobie Lake, as it's 45 min away from my house. :p

It also has my first ever cred, and general nostalgia.

I know my home park is Six Flags Great Adventure because the closest airtime I get to El Toro's is riding Phoenix and Hurler @ KD actively simulates Rolling Thunder's ride quality.

I know my home park is SFGAdv because of how actively I bash Kingda Ka and the fact that they're still lacking in flat rides.

I know my home park is SFGAdv because their food prices justify the 5 minute drive to the Wawa down the street.

I know Cedar Point is my home park because I grew up being able to see the roller coasters from atop my high school. Can also hear the train whistle on some nights.

I know my home park is Peter Pan's because it's the park I've got the earliest memories of, used to visit several times a year (my mum's side of the family are all from Southend... explains a lot really), and is by far the closest proper amusement park to my house.

Parks with creds within 100 miles of me:

29 miles - Wicksteed
29 miles - Drayton Manor
32 miles - Billing Aquadrome
40 miles - Gullivers Milton Keynes
41 miles - Twinlakes
46 miles - Dudley Zoological Gardens
57 miles - Treasure Island
59 miles - Wheelgate
60 miles - West Midlands Safari Park
71 miles - Alton Towers
71 miles - Gullivers Matlock
74 miles - Sherwood Forest Fun Park
83 miles - Clifton Park Amusements
95 miles - Thorpe Park
96 miles - Legoland

I'd probably call Drayton my actual home park though... I go to Alton more now, but I grew up with Draytes and it's still fab when I go, even though the coasters are dire. <3.

Not the point of the topic but heh, it gave me something to do.

In Florida I have a lot to pick from. Disney's Hollywood Studios is my favorite.
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster keeps me interested in launchers.
Tower of Terror keeps me fond of drops.
Toy Story Mania keeps me on interactive dark rides.
Lights, Motors, Action! keeps me looking at things that move fast or blow up.

I have really gotten into FunSpot America lately. White Lightning rocks !
Go-karts are great when you can ride as much as you want.

I know my home park is SFGAm because their news in Gurnee is covered on the government channel here in Downers.

I know my home park is Geauga Lake because my love for Villain has given me a slight quirk towards the more intense wooden coasters (not to be mixed with extreme roughness)

I know Geauga Lake is my home park because riding Demon Drop at Dorney made me realize just how shoddy those felt (which resulted in an actual scream of fear).

I know Geauga Lake is my home park because any ride that shakes me around more than Raging Wolf Bobs front row is never a re-ride.

I know Geauga Lake is my home park because no SLC will ever match up with Serial Thriller.

That being said, I will never trust front row on a SLC ever again!

I know Geauga Lake is my home park because my hatred of wet clothing was solidified tha ks to Grizzly River Rapids.

I know Geauga Lake is my home park because I will still randomly laugh while riding any Antique Cars thanks to my sister (Oh look at that kitty cat! Wait, is that? ...OH **** ITS A SKUNK!).

I know Geauga Lake is my home park because it solidified some behaviors Im currently trying to break.
