I say yes! That first bank just cuts my neck something stupid! Also the final airtime cuts my shoulders but that type of pain is good pain :D
I clicked yes just because of that.

So airtime and transitions= roughness?

?

From what people are saying on here, it sounds like the restraints can cause some pain. That's not the same as the coaster being rough. Being rough has to do with the track and the trains, not the choice of restraints used.

I don't get the problem with those OSTR's... they don't bloody touch you. I know i'm short, but i'm not that short.

A load of yanks on thrillnetwork where having the same rant about them. What the hell.

Painful restraints that cut into you? TRY SLC RESTRAINTS.

I did find that it was the airtime hills caused the most pain becuase of the restraint types and the huge ammount of ejector that you get throughs you into the bars accross your legs, which I find is the problem, with all accelerators that I have been on, especially kannoen becuase of the loops.

So I am going to have to put yes.

I think everyone is talking about the red bar that goes accorss your legs, which is the most painful restraint which I have ever had to endure!

But that don't touch you either. What the hell!?

It's like you guys try to get hurt.

Lift your knees up while the bars come down, then relax once they are locked, simple. You now have room.

It touches mine, not sure about anyone else?

I have tried that on stealth, but when it launches it just gets pushed right down, I assume it will have the same effect on rita.

(Don't even think about saying to hold it up )

Theres no way to hold it up Joey. As soon as you hit corkie turn the g's just push it down. I end up with it being on its lowest by the end. Exact same happens to me on Stealth as well.

I manage to hold all my restraints up pretty well.

With Stealth and Rita, you tippy toe and stiffen your legs. When the ride op puts the bar down regardless if they pin you or not, they assume you have longer legs than you do. Once gone, you relax.

Even tight, it is NOT painful.

And i've never had it slam me half way round.

I totally agree with Joey here.

I've experienced a lot of airtime over the hills with no restraint touching my legs. I did the same thing that you suggested. Even when it is touching you you can hardly call that painful. You should try riding a ride that actually is painful like the Fabbri Top Spin at Pleasure Island. You would probably die from that if you find Rita painful.

You find the restraints over the airtime hills painful so you class that as rough? That does not make sense...

Well I don't think Rita is rough entirely, if at all, but I do remember a bit of head banging twisting into the first curve after the launch and the first curve in general.

That was it. The rest of the ride, enjoyably smooth.

No it isn't rough.

A rough coaster in my opinion is something you come off with a headache becuase you have been beaten around so much. The only coaster I have ever experienced this with was Corkscrew when I was stupid enough not to brace myself and put my head back.

Well it's the odd transitions that causes the restraints to cut. I wouldn't mind if the coaster didn't jolt into the next helix. That is roughness.

Yes. I find being "ejected" out of my seat into something across my legs rough and painful.

Having said all of this, I have only riden her twice.

But painful and rough mean different things. Rough is either moving side to side bashing your head or just general roughness. Pain could be being held upside down and the restraints hurt your shoulders causing pain.

Getting the airtime that causing your legs pain doesn't mean it is rough. You don't bang your head from side to side or feel any roughness. It just hurts your legs as you say from being launched into the air.

Well, then, you've got the wrong definition of rough.

Painful, maybe... but i'd say you're just a wuss. D~efinately not roughness you're talking about.

Well because I am tall, I get quite a bit of pain from Rita. My neck is inline with them thin restraints at the top and on each corner, WHACK!
Get some neat red lines afterwards lol

If the ride didn't bank on the pullup of a drop, it would be a lot more comfy but the fact is it does. I hate them jolts between transitions causing my neck to slam into the thin part of the restraint, that is what makes it rough for me.

I get my neck slammed into the restraints as well and I ain't exactly huge. That turn into the brakes ain't banked enough or someting so your neck gets smashed. Corkie turn is pretty rough as well. The purple train however is rougher than the blue one somehow.
