The only supposed requirement to have one is if you want to work at Manchester airport if I remember correctly.

It really is just a pile of rubbish and people won't opt for it. The Tories and Lib Dems don't like the system so basically next election there is a good chance it will be chucked out and all the money would have been wasted.

So now if your identity is stolen, you will need new eyeballs and a finger transplant. Oh joy. I thought this was 2009, seems it's 1984. Labour won't be happy until our country is Socialist, they think they are amazing untouchable and they will be embarased in the Euro-elections (another stupid idea and is another step closer to us becoming part of the United States of Europe, whoever gets elected is Euro Mp for London, not Britain, they are trying to wipe individual counties away) when the extreme BNP gets more votes.

I don't live in the UK. However, I am familiar with this concept. The idea has been floated around before. Personally, I think it's terrible.

Worst part? I don't think it even matters. Anyone can access you/find your information anywhere, and very easily. Whoever dosn't believe this is ignorant, I know people that can do it.

We have spyware on our computers, businesses track all our info already anyway.

I am totally against ID cards . Look on youtube facebook etc for anything to do with the new world order or illuminati & you will begin to realise why they want to keep track of everyone & belive me its not for your safety or protection from terrorists.
The ID card is part of a big picture & no matter which party you vote for it wont make any differance because they are all controlled from the same place by the same people.Politics is as real as American wrestling. Watch 1984 & V for Vendetta & think about it.
