Orphan Rocker! SBNO since it was first constructed, looks like it was designed on RCT and built in Arts and Crafts class, apparently rides like a catapult (that is, a lot of jolting and a graceful flight through the air)... what is there not to love about it?

Orphan Rocker' status is under construction and was built in 1988, It has not operated ever. Sp technically Toboggan is been SBNO longer.

What about that first coaster Intamin built and never put in the electronics? Too lazy to look that up.

Found it : http://www.rcdb.com/1506.htm

Its called Vertigorama and its from Parque de la Ciudad in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

2 tracks have been finished but electronics are missing SBNO since 1983.

So far we have
1) Toboggan 1970
2) Vertigorama 1983
3) Orphan Rocker 1988...though technically its just a really slow construction process XD

3) Orphan Rocker 1988...though technically its just a really slow construction process XD

I'd put a lot of money on it NEVER opening. I get the feeling RCDB hace just forgotten about it to be honest.

I get the feeling if it wasn't for RCDB it'd just be forgotten about to be honest. ;)

Yeh that ride is pretty much never going to open. They try and flog it to people on their gondola ride there "that white thing below you is the orphan rocker rollercoaster opening next year".. They said that to me in 2009... *looks at date*. Yup.

I don't think it classes as SBNO anyway, since it's never technically operated publically it's still under construction i'd say.

I wouldn't class it as being "under construction". I mean, it HAS run in the past, but not opened to the public. I guess it is technically under construction, but I wouldn't necessarily class it as that in my books. I'd say that the Intamin ride that never had it's electronics installed is also "under construction" going by that rule.

Comet at Lincoln Park, it's been rotting away there since 1988 and its lift hill collapsed in 2005.

It was torn down last year.

PS: Does anybody have any more information about Toboggan?
