Manta- B&M Flyer for SWO opening May 22

This is looking just beautifull. IMO the zero car is only that size for theming. It looks great as the main body of the Manta.

Awesome trains...

But after my Tatsu experience I doubt I'd like this either...

Ah well, not like I'm going to Florida for several years...

Testing has started. Update on TPR.

That looks great. Surprisingly quiet though. It's going to look awesome as you enter the park.
Here's another video with the lift hill.
I hope it continues to just cruise right through the MCBR like that.
:--D

After riding Tatsu.. I am really wondering if this will match up. It just doesn't seem like it packs a punch.. much like Air.

The train is very long, so if you are riding at the front you are going down the first drop whilst the train is still going up the lift. I'll definitely be sitting at the back when I go on this.

I was going to say that. It looked like it was going to stall on the pretzel loop. Still, this coaster looks sexy :)

That train is HUGE!

I wasn't expecting it to go that slow through the inline and qingovers though it has to be said!

I hope it continues to just cruise right through the MCBR like that.
Diamond back was doing the same thing on the testing videos.
I assume they are leaving them off for the time being. Hopefully they'll keep the "off" unless it's necessary to engage them.

Here's another testing video that offers a great vantage point of the first bit of the ride.

Between this and Diamondback, it would appear to be another B&M year.

i don't think it'll feel that slow when you're on it. IMO flyers should not be too fast, they need to glide to fool you into thinking you are flying. There should be an element of relaxing on the ride.

This looks great to me.

The only flyer i've ridden is Air, and not at one moment did i ever think i was or feel like i was flying. I felt like i was strapped into a roller coaster in a lying down position. Which is great fun, but doesn't feel anything like flying, it feels like being strapped into a huge amount of metal.

But this coaster does look rather lovely!

Oh joy, it's Air with a pretzel loop. The most hideous inversion ever.

Let me get excited...

Next time try not to show your jealousy so much, because it makes you look like a tool.

*snorts with laughter*

Know something about me before you assume I'm jealous, k? I hate Flyers. I think they're ****. This is quite easy to see across the forums. The only thing I hate more is fish...

I would be saying the same thing if it was being built at Thorpe, 20 miles away. Try again.

Although this looks like great fun, I think it's the next Arrow suspended roller coaster. Just look at all these that are build on level ground compared to suspended coasters build on level ground. Now look at Tatsu compared to rides like Ninja, Flight Deck, Eagle Fortress, Big Bad Wolf, and all those terrain suspended coasters that are so fun and thrilling. Terrain seems to be the way to go.

Does anybody else think it rolls quite quickly through that last roll? It's a great ride to watch. With all the midways under it, I can imagine it will have great crowd interaction with how graceful it is.
