Marineland of Canada (may) be closing/sold

Ah, Hard Rock Park Niagara. And you all know how Myrtle Beach went...
Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach didn't fail because of the theme. Myrtle Beach is based on NightLife. If you want a booming business you have to cater in the morning (Breakfast) or at night. You go to the beach during the day, then in the after you go to an entertainment offering. Hard Rock park tried to pull people off the beach for a full day. It was also in an awkward location but was also built during the economic Downfall of 2008. The ride hardware decisions also weren't the best with Maximum RPM being extremely expensive because of the Ferris wheel lift, and a basic layout B&M. The kid's area was also extremely pathetic when you have Family Kingdom and Pavilion Tribute Park nearby which was also pay per ride.

I am fully convinced if Hard Rock Park was built in Nashville instead of Myrtle Beach, It would still be around today.

Also Myrtle Beach Airport is a VERY small airport with less than 2 Million passengers a year in 2007, Vs. 50.499 for Toronto Pearson's

In some unfortunate news, the park has recently seen the demise of a beluga whale and bottlenose dolphin. The blunt reality of this however is that each animal that either leaves or passes away is one less keeping the park from shutting down. The public knows this and there’s been some fury over the additional deaths; https://www.cp24.com/mobile/news/beluga-whale-bottlenose-dolphin-die-at-marineland-1.6389431?referrer=https://www.google.ca/

Well the animals aren't at Marineland and therefore in a better place

The park is apparently going to be sold soon to a new operator that would invest in new attractions and rides so that it could compete with Canada's Wonderland. So far nothing is confirmed.
Source? There have been rumors for months, but is there any new info? (Confirmed or otherwise)

Some comments from the mayor ahead of tomorrow's seasonal opening and the annual protest outside of its gates;
The Mayor of Niagara Falls, Ont., says it's time for Marineland to change its ways.

"It's run its course and it's time to change direction," Jim Diodati told CBC Hamilton during a phone interview on Thursday.

"I'd like to see them move right away from animals."

Diodati said the theme park full of aquatic animals has been looking for a new owner since its founder John Holer died in 2018, but recently the park has been "actively for sale" and there have been discussions from groups around the globe to take over the park.

"I'm sure a new owner will take the operation in a different direction and focus more on … a Canada's Wonderland approach or a Six Flags," he said.

Marineland didn't respond to numerous inquiries from CBC Hamilton about a potential sale.

I don't think Six Flags is in a good financial situation to buy it and Cedar Fair has CW nearby so it will have to be another operator, but someone will indeed step in!

Possible! It would be great! The park is huge and Niagara Falls is a very popular spot and always jammed packed. There is a lot of potential and yes Bush would be perfect to turn the park into something wonderful.

A Sesame Place
A Tempesto Clone
A Flume Ride/Rapids Ride
Screaming Swings
Hall-O-Scream

Boom, You've got a better park. Plus by calling it Busch Gardens allows you to not have the Stigma of Marine Animals and the Remaining Aquatic Animals can go to SeaWorld and be treated better

No way the export permits would be approved to the US, plus there's no space. Whoever buys this park is stuck with these animals for a long time.

(Considering the conext, I think they meant "no available space for additional animal exhibits at existing SeaWorld parks".)
