Had the best day just me and him riding all the big boys for the first time. Loved his reactions after each coaster, very rare you get to see first timers on these.

Congratulations to him (and you, as I’d assume you must be very pleased!)! He’s already beaten my cred count, which is no mean feat given that he’s only just begun riding the big coasters and (I assume) is a good few years younger than me!

I remember my own first time riding the big coasters, back when I was 10. My favourite at the time was actually Rita, although Nemesis was a close second!

I bet he must have been chuffed; I know I certainly was at that age!

I don't think we have a Milestone Park count thread, so I'll pop it in here...

So I thought my trip to Legoland Billund at the weekend was going to be my 50th park. Turns out I hadn't properly updated my cred sheet and I already had it (and I'm now at 54). In any case, here's some park milestones:

Congratulations @JoshC.; 50 parks is no mean feat!

If we're engaging in milestone parks, I recently visited my 20th theme park in the form of Europa Park!
 
That reminds me of some miscellaneous milestones.

I've done parks somewhere else before, and quite a while ago, as I specifically remember calculating the ratio of coasters gained to parks gained and then using that to settle on steps of 25. Can't find it though.

It also turns out that Silver Dollar City had even more going on as Outlaw Run ended up being my 100th wooden coaster.
I do hope the rate of building new wood outstrips the closing down of old ones and that 200 can be a thing one day.
 
Small milestones, but milestones nontheless. And most of them come with anecdotes, so here they are:

1 - Tibidabo Express at Tibidabo park (my first coaster, it's a powered one but was scary as hell when I was like 5-6, so it took me at least ten years to try it again despite being in one of my home parks)
10 - Shambhala at PortAventura Park (haven't riden it again despite being in the park 10 times since then, because hypers will be the death of me)
20 - Crazy Mouse at Brighton Pier (couldn't ride alone so I had to wait for two strangers to ride with me, who turned out to be two 6 year olds whose father did not want to ride the ride and was happy to find someone to babysit his kids for 5 minutes while he went to get the biggest cup of beer I've ever seen)
25 - Insane at Gröna Lund (F*** ZAC SPINS, and even more now that I've realized this was my 25th credit and F.L.Y. is my 26th)
30 - Taron at Phantasialand (my current #1 which I spent almost a whole day marathoning at below 0 temperatures. And I'll do it again.)
40 - Ortobruco Tour at Gardaland (gf asked to choose the coaster for this milestone and she thought it was hilarious to see a childless grown woman riding a wacky worm with 20+ kids. But hey, at least she did not pick the park's Vekoma SLC!!)

This topic seems worthy of its own thread, or to be revived as a thread.

These park numbers made me go look at my park numbers, and that made me realise how incredible these numbers really are in comparison. I can’t imagine what your coaster count must be.
 
Just checked my count and I'm only 3 theme parks away from 400.

Kolmarden is gonna be new in August, so it looks like I'll be getting the 400 in the US, possibly at Fun Spot Orlando or Fun Spot Atlanta.

Don't want stuff like '100th B&M' - we already have threads for that - but coaster count, park count, steel count, wood count are all fair game I reckon.

On my recent US trip, I finally hit 1000! Taken far longer than I had hoped though.

It ended up being the glorious Spinning Parrot at the Island in Pigeon Forge.

So my milestones list now consists of:
