Congratulations, all!

I know some might argue it’s a “fake” milestone, but I’m hoping to be able to post in here about #150 in about 8 days’ time… my #100 was 3 years ago, so I’m claiming it!

As promised, I can now add another slightly tenuous milestone to the milestone list…
1) Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster - Drayton Manor (18th April 2008)
50) Nickelodeon Streak - Blackpool Pleasure Beach (14th August 2018)
100) Iron Gwazi - Busch Gardens Tampa (22nd June 2023)
150) Trace du Hourra - Parc Asterix (29th June 2026)

As you can probably guess, my target was Toutatis to continue my streak of notable milestones, but I failed in that endeavour… still, I’ve reached 150, 3 years after hitting 100!

Yesterday at Europa park, my #150 was Poseidon. Just the way the queues fell. That's 150 almost a year to the day after hitting 100, so quite some acceleration. Will ease off now though as the low hanging fruit are gone. If I try for 1 new big park a year I can hopefully hit 200 in another couple of years...

I hit an interesting milestone today

420. Euro-Mir - during my Tokyo Disney trip, I was considering a trip to Germany as an option for summer. Tokyo Disney didn't impress me as much as I had hoped so I wanted to visit a park that could and with Euro-Mir closing down, I really wanted to say my goodbyes.

And I really liked it. From the moment you step into the queue, the vibe just hits well. I love the music and the visuals. Then you step inside and it instantly screams 90s. The ride itself is really fun and janky in all the best ways. It's unpredictable to know if you're gonna have a fairly smooth experience or you're going to slam into the sides of the car repeatedly. I definitely see why this ride is iconic. And it's an iconic way to celebrate this milestone

201 - Dragon's Apprentice (Dubai)
251 - Odyssey (Fantasy Island)
301 - Loup Garou (Walibi Belgium)
350 - The Tickler (Coney Island)
400 - Lightning Racer (Hersheypark)
450 - Family Coaster (Hyde Park WW)
500 - Emperor (SeaWorld San Diego)
550 - Diamondback (Kings Island)
600 - Abyssus (Energylandia)
650 - Monster (Grona Lund)
700 - Afterburn (Carowinds)

Loved Afterburn, really forceful but in interesting places rather than a constant onslaught. The inverts with batwings are great. I thought this might be underwhelming after riding Alpengeist yesterday and while it’s not as good it’s still fantastic. Barring any other potential spites I should finish this holiday on 735.

Afterburn kicks ass - great cred and great milestone cred!
