Most Anticipated Coaster of 2014?

Hyper Poster
What is your most anticipated new coaster for 2014 (so far)? Here is my top 10:

1. Goliath - Six Flags Great America

May be anticipated more than the others because I am for sure going to ride it next year, but who is not extremely excited for the fastest, steepest wooden coaster on Earth? It looks great, since Outlaw Run got good reviews I am very excited for this.

2. Medusa Steel Coaster - Six Flags Mexico

It looks like the best Iron Horse. I LOVE the "Smiler" type drop on it, the double barrel roll, airtime, turns, etc. It looks just like a perfect Iron Horse.

3. Projekt Helix - Liseberg

Blue Fire turns out to be a GREAT coaster so this one should be even better with an extra launch, 2 more inversions, and a longer duration and layout.

4. Roller Coaster - Vialand

It looks AWESOME, It has the speed, the layout, the height, everything about it seems just perfect. Lets face it guys, it probably won't open until next year.

5. Falkon - Heidi Park

It looks like a very good winged coaster, It could be the best. It looks like a very good layout with some very forcful moments!

6. Alpina Blitz - Nigloland

We don't have a layout but it sounds like it will have some very, very nice airtime and decent speed. It sounds like Mack Rides take on a Intamin Mega Lite. If it is like a Mega Lite, It would be #2 on my list.

7. *unknown* - Holiday Park

If it's anything like Sky Rocket it will be a very good addition for the park! It sounds like a very good family coaster yet still offering fun thrills at the same time.

8. Banshee - Kings Island

Honestly, the layout doesn't look very impressive for how much of a big deal they made it out to be. It still looks fun, but I was a bit disappointed by the looks of the layout. They made to much of a big deal. It still looks like good fun, but they made such a big deal out of it like it was going to taller than Kingda Ka with a B&M Invert wrapped around the top hat and an Intamin Mega Lite in the middle. See, it just looks a bit disappointing for what it is. It still looks like good fun and lots of people should enjoy it.

9. Thunderbolt - Luna Park Coney Island

It has the coolest lift hill in the world, some probably "decent" airtime, and some forceful moments. Is it just me or is the layout just a bit messy?

10. Ragin' Cajun - Six Flags America

These spinning mouses are usually really simple good fun so I am actually looking forward to it. I don't get the hate for spinning mouses, they are actually really fun for what they are!

1) Helix, Liseberg: Possibly could be the worlds best all-round coaster.

2) Goliath, SFGAm: Short, but looks crazy.

3) Medusa Steel Coaster, SFM: Small, but looks like it will pack a mighty punch.

4) Fly Over The Rainforest, Ocean kingdom (assuming that won't open until 2014 now): Big and graceful.

5) Alpina Blitz, Nigloland: Layout isn't known, but i have faith in Mack.

6) Wing Coaster, Heide Park: Unique and exciting.

7) 10 Inversion Coaster, Cinecitta World: An improved version of Colossus.

8) Banshee, Kings Island: Not convinced the layout will be forceful, but its an invert.

9) Premier Launch, Holiday Park: Looks very fun and re-rideable.

10) Thunderbolt, Coney Island: Intrigues as i am unsure of how its going to turn out.

I will hopefully be able to ride most of the European ones next year

I totally forgot about 10 Inversion Coaster. I'd fit that at #7.

If Flying Over The Rainforest doesn't open this year, I'd put it at #6. It would be VERY close to Falkon, but something about Falkon is a bit more sexy.

They made much of a big deal about it.

As of now, with nothing planned....
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at the Magic Kingdom is all I really have.... and I'm sure it'll be fun for what it is.
Thunderbolt at Luna Park is highly likely now with GAdv getting their massive drop tower <3

Other than that... I'd really only like to try out Goliath at Six Flags Great America and Project Helix at Liseberg, although a revisit to Sweden isn't so likely right now.

1 - Goliath - Six Flags Great America - I don't care what any of you say, this is my home park and having a record-breaking RMC woodie within an hour of me is enough to make me giddy like a little schoolgirl.

2 - Medusa Steel Coaster - Six Flags Mexico - The layout isn't very friendly to what RMC has shown to do with the Iron Horse so they threw a curveball by adding the inverting drop, which should be amazeballs.

3 - Projekt Helix - Liseberg - It looks utterly fab, everything Blue Fire does it appears to do better.

1. Projekt Helix- just looks more interesting than the others plus Terrian <3
2. Iron Medusa- looks great. Probably worse than all the current RMCs, but great
3. Goliath- looks like a looper, which disappoints me. There seems to be only 3 airtime hills and the layout looks like something someone did on No Limits in one day. Definitely looks worse than all of the other RMCs.

Here are the ones I am going to be able to ride:

Definites:

Firechaser Express
Goliath
Banshee
Kiddie Coaster (New Orleans Park)

Maybes:

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Ragin' Cajun
Thunderbolt

The Unlikely's, but still a bit of a chance:

Kids Coaster (SFMM)

The Pipe Dreams:

Medusa Steel Coaster
Helix
Alpina Blitz
Roller Coaster (Vialand)
Falkon
10 Inversion Coaster
Flying Over The Rainforest
unknown (Holiday Park)

1. Projekt Helix: I've never ridden Blue Fire, but I've heard amazing things about it. The layout for Helix looks great, and even though I won't get to ride it any time soon, I'm very interested to hear opinions on the ride.

2. Medusa: Just excited for another RMC Iron Horse. Interested to see how that inverted drop turns out. "Medusa Steel Coaster" is a really crappy name though.

3. Banshee: I'm very interested to see how this turns out. It's going to be the fastest invert, and has some interesting elements. They've got the first batwing B&M has built in years, and an inline twist instead of the usual corkscrews. It will be interesting to see how these elements turn out, and if this ride is as forceful as older B&Ms.

4. Goliath: This is the second coaster RMC have designed/built from the ground up, and it looks far inferior to Outlaw Run. The layout just seemed uninspired, and doesn't look like it will have much airtime.

Not sure how to rank the wing coaster at Heide. The layout looks cool, but I haven't ridden a wing coaster yet. I don't know how much I'll like them, they seem sort of hit or miss.

One of the reasons Banshee didn't get that high on my list was because of the restraints. Perfect for winged coasters, Inverts? Yuck. With regular Invert restraints it would score a lot higher. This is my mum's most anticipated coaster for 2014, as she LOVES Inverts.

^Wild Eagle is my #3. It is very, very smooth, has very fantastic views, has really nice forceful inversions, An INSANE! Zero-G Roll, some decent airtime and a very, very forceful helix. Falkon (I still have that fake name in my head) looks like a mix of The Swarm and X-Flight to me so it may be different, but from my experience it should be very high on everyone's list!

As for Goliath, there is a good kind of messy, and a bad kind of messy. An example of a bad kind of messy is Thunderbolt at Luna Park Coney Island, an example of a good kind of messy is Goliath. It looks awesome and I can not wait to ride it! I need to e-mail my sister in Chicago, I wouldn't make it up there next year if it wasn't for her. :)

Why? The Wing Rider restraints prevent head banging which considerably improves the ride quality and experience. With the original OTSR's, head banging is almost inevitable. Plus I'd imagine the ones on Banshee will be improved to where the "harness" part of the restraint does not destroy your collar bones. I only assume this because CP is changing some of the harnesses on Gatekeeper to test them out and see if they work better.

The yet to be announced maybe happening in 2014 potentially happening but highly unlikely just to spite me Lake Monster

:drinking:

Helix, no doubt.
The new ride in Heide Park also look fabulous.

Also wanna give a shot out to Falcon's Fury, that thing is gonna be insane.

On the Wingriders they get tighter when parts have lots of g-force. Inverts have somewhat more forces than Wingriders and it will squeeze you in SO tight.

Most excited for Banshee, as that is the coaster I will definitely be able to get on. (Of course, no better time to visit SFGA for the first time than next year)

I have never had this experience even after reading about it and riding wing riders paying attention to it.
