New attractions at Paultons Park

They have two existing areas in the park that need redoing after 2027 but could easily run out of space with the next 5-10 years.

Either push back the entrance and carparks or buy the golf course.
🤔I have been overthinking.

Looked at some old site maps as i wondered how big the Paultons site is. Definitely they will have to deal with the area infront of Valgard and Lost kingdom, critter creek to follow. There is also the long stretch of grass by the lake which has nothing on.

(Nice out and back coaster please)

After that though what else can they do? I think a car park reshuffle will work as they do own land before the car park and they could turn what is overflow into permanent and then build on the old car park.

While seeing if they do own that field i found this land border map and they own quite a bit (red line)

I dont see them being able to turn any of the woodland to theme park and to be fair being surrounded by trees is one of the reasons i like Paultons.
(coster round the lake within the boundary would be cool though)

But yes in short turn overflow into permanent and then build on top of existing car park would be my pick when they run out of space, second gate on the golf corse would be fantastic though 😁

It's entirely within the New Forest National Park, so the trees definitely wont be going anywhere. They may not also be able to pave over the overflow either, I am not sure how restrictive being within the national park is for them.

The event/stage space near that stretch of grass is probably the best bet. The covered seating which feels very 'old Paulton's' compared to their recent additions, along with the stage take up more space than Storm Chaser.

They've been investing in solar panelling to cover the existing car park so i can't imagine building on that is in their future plans.

Back in the day the carpark was just grass i think it was the mid 2000s they paved it so it has been done, still planning would probably be a pickle, mabey to ease it they could do a geo grid?

I agree on the event area definitely an area to refresh.

True but thats just in the little carparks by the entrance, they may do more but i was thinking if they were to repurpose they would go for car park space that borders the park like by the old log flume site.

Again this is only once they fill the current park space to the brim, if they were to do this its long long way off.

There looks like there is a big empty field to the left of the golf course, behind valgard area, maybe they could buy that land to expand the park.
That would be the best option once they run out of room, even half of that field would be massive.

Also didn't they trademark last year water park facilities with Paultons Park Resort. So maybe long term in the future but how would they fit a water park onto there land aswell.

Depends when they paved the car park, the New Forest National Park was only designated in 2005. Also, the car park would be considered greyfield designation, the overflow may be greenfield.

For what it's worth, I think they could move the car park south. The woodland is marked on the map @Niles showed as a "Copse", which (from using Street View) looks like it's now just young Pines. Not that it's good to cut down trees, but in my opinion there's very unlikely to be anything old or protected in there.

Good shout from @Steve99 about the farming field to the west. Definitely a possibility there!

Best of all would be to buy the golf course to the north, but I suppose they are still good business. Would be awesome to have the Cadnam River through the middle, like a mini Busch Gardens Williamsburg!

Following up on progress with the holiday village, the park have now submitted a EIA Scoping Opinion. Hopefully this will answer the councils questions and we can see this project come to fruition.

It did not, seems the council wants a ES (Environmental Statement) to be undertaken going into more detail on the project before they consider giving them approval on the holiday village.

The park have also done a maintenance update, here is what they have done.

- New entrance and other signs in Tornado Springs (old ones had slightly peeled)
- New flooring for playgrounds around park
- Metal replacing wood fencing posts and general repainting across Tornado Springs
- Peppa pig land annual repaint
- An old aviary is being completely remade.
- 5G mast is operational
- entrance road is having any mild cracks filled in
- Splash lagoon now has a photo camera added
- Lake walk cleaned up and park entrance sign refreshed
- new dinos in lost kingdom
- new song for lost kingdom

And more, its ridiculous, this is why they are the number one park in the UK, this should be the standard not the exception its great to see how much they do.
