What's new

New rides @ small parks

Bagatelle are adding a penguine show, 2 kids rides, bumper boats and new 3D film, for 2013:

Clarence Pier in Portsmouth are building what looks to be a small knock off StarFlyer. I can see it from work, about 50-80ft tall.

Adventure Wonderland have finally finished building 'Battle Boats' for this season ( only took about 5 years  ). Wish they spent the money on landscaping instead though! Same models as in picture

Ah cool, thats the cred that we weren't allowed on when we went to Gullivers. Annoyed that I didn't get the previous caterpillar cred at Billing though.

There's a new cred at Billing Aquadrome:

Though it's a relocation from Gullivers Warrington. In other news, they've also spited their Caterpiller cred, so there's still only +1 to be had.

I thought that had gone to Mingerland? Very odd. It's not been at Gulliver's in Warrington for many years, I wonder where it was hiding in the mean time?

The Joker - Six Flags Mexico

A new Gerstlaurer Spinning Coaster opened at Six Flags Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. It's Pandemonium from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, just repainted, rethemed, and better than ever.

I was surprised there was not a single topic on here about this coaster, not even in Roller Coaster Construction!

This coaster has my favorite color scheme of all time. This is also one of the best themed coasters in the world, it looks AWESOME!

ECG has been there but hasn't returned yet to get the POV up. I'm not sure why it was missed in construction/relocation though.

No, but there are a load of photos on the previous page of this thread ;)

Looks good.

Did it really used to be at Wicksteed? I don't remember it being there last year.

Edit: I see it was operated until 2003 at Wicksteed, has it just been in storage in the mean time?

Brighton Pier have had a shift around in the last couple of weeks. Turns out they're making space for two new rides.

The first will be a Zamperla Air Race, quite possibly just called 'Air Racer' although I might've imagined that bit. The 2nd is a "kid’s version called 'Leonardo'" No idea what that's actually going to turn out to be.

It would seem as if the big one will be on the right hand side, at the front of the rides area (where the kiddietrainthingthatblatesacred used to be). I would imagine the small ride will go over on the left in the kiddie area. Of course, all of that is speculation.

Obviously you'll all be treated to a minute-by-minute account of their journey to the pier and installation including such riveting details as the make and model of the lorry, how many straps were used to hold it down, and how many sugars the workmen like in their tea.

Is this the UK's first Air Race then?

I always thought Flamingoland missed a trick by not getting one for that Zoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom area.

Yes, yes, yes they look so fab. Well done Brighton pier.
I'll wait with baited breath Nic - will you be able to find out what kind of pasties the workman like?
