Last night I went to see Tarantino's Death proof. Half of the very hyped Grindhouse.

It would have been great to have seen Grindhouse in one showing, but America was silly and didn't get the amazing concept so it failed at the US box office and now everyone else has to suffer and only get one portion of the Grindhouse experience.

I really, really, really want to see the full thing how it's supposed to be seen.

Stupid Americans ruining it by not going to see it.

I watched the movie Rent yesterday, and didn't think much of it before watching it because I had already seen the musical in New York, but my goodness it was excellent. I love the songs, and there have been maybe two or three movies I've cried more than I cried during Rent. Very sad indeed, more sad than the musical.

Movie and musical, both were excellent, and whether or not the movie was a crappy picture because it was taped at a theater, I still loved it.

So, 8.5/10.

I saw Superbad yesterday. Very funny indeed, with quite a random storyline which is great! Definitely worth a watch.

8/10

I've seen all the Friday the 13th movies when I was like, six or some really young age like that, and as of now, I've pretty much forgotten most of them. Though, they were really cheap at Wal Mart in good ol' America, so my mom bought like, one through four.

I watched number two last night, and basically it's typical of slasher films. Ridiculous really, but they're not overly long and they're fairly amusing, even though by the end I kinda wish all the characters would be killed, because some of em' are such bad actors!

6/10, and I don't reckon any other Jason movies are gonna get higher than that.

Finally got around to find the time and watch Hot Fuzz. great movie, although I still think SOTD was better. 7/10

Snakes on a Plane

What the <img>.

6/10
Did you at least watch it with a few friends with the assistance of mind-altering drugs? That makes Snakes on a Plane very interesting. Oh, and it had Kenan from Kenan and Kel in there!

I have a few reviews! I forgot to do a few when we watched the movies in school earlier in the week, and last week.

We watched The Wave in English class, which is only about fourty or so minutes long, but it was a decent storyline. It portrayed what it was meant to show quite well, and it was based on a true story as well which I find weird since I couldn't see it happening, really. So yeah, wasn't too bad! I'd give it a 6/10.

Second film we watched in English (that's like, all we do in that class really) which we just finished today was School Ties. I actually quite liked the film. It's nothing spectacular I'd go out and buy, but it shows how idiotic people can be sometimes, just because of someone's religion or whatever. It shows how people can let a person's religion ruin their friendship with that person, and all kinds of bad stuff like that. So, 6.5/10 for this movie.

Next movie was a movie I watched in History, which I missed pieces of because I was absent for one of the classes we watched it in (took us two and a half classes to watch it). The movie is called Flyboys and it's relatively new, and it was pretty good as well, from the parts I seen. It portrayed dog fights and flying during the war very accurately, and more realistic than a lot of plane/war scenes I have seen in other films. I'd give it a 6.5/10, which would probably be higher if I hadn't missed a good bit of it.

Last but not least, is a movie I watched last night at my dad's house. Halloween! Okay, not as good as the original, but even so, I thought it was a pretty good movie, had some nice elements of gore in it, and the actors weren't too bad. Spoiler alert The rape scene was sort of ridiculous though, didn't like that too much. Seemed sorta pointless to me, even though I know it was just basically a part of how he escaped from the prison. But the movie as a whole was pretty good. I'd give it a 6.9/10

I recomend:

ENEMY OF THE STATE

It has a stunning story line and the ways in which the character is tracked are awesome. What's really scary is that all of the technology really exists...

She's the Man:

-Amanda Bynes pretends to be her brother at his boarding school so that she can prove her worth at soccer.-

Just an okay movie, really ridiculous in some parts. It's part kids movie (Bynes gets her trademark silliness on more than a handful of times), part girls movie (teenage love.....ahh (so bored of it!!)). It's just really ridiculous and unbelievable at some times. I know it's meant to be silly, but Amanda doesn't sell her boyish role well at all. And the high school jocks (big men on (high school) campus) were getting tongue-tied around the cute girls. Come on now, you've got the 12th grade soccer captain, and he's talking to girls like a 6th grader. Come on!

Eventually, the ever-sexy Bynes is exposed of what she is doing---blahblahblah---and everything ends up happily ever after, as usual.

Rate: 6.5 Not terrible, but just an unbelievable new twist on a VERY old plot.

I watched two new movies in the last two days. I think I've watched like, six or seven new movies this week, which is kind of awesome.

First would be Knocked Up. Though I enjoyed Superbad a bit more, this was also a really good movie. There were some serious parts, and some funny parts, which amde it pretty enjoyable. I'd give it a 8.5/10.

Next would be Sixth Sense. I'd always heard good things about the movie but never really had it, but then I found it for only one dollar at a garage sale not too long ago, and decided to watch it for once. It wasn't as creepy as many people say, but it had a wicked twist that I actually didn't see coming, and a pretty good storyline! I'd give it a 8.5/10.

I went to see Disturbia last wednesday. Lets just say I haven't come out of the cinemas thinking "oh my god, that was absolutely amazing" for a very long time... until I saw this.

It had a nice, fun story-line with quite a bit of good humour, but also very, very scary bits thrown in. Easily the best film I have seen in a long, long time.

I'd even go as far as rating it a 10/10! I've never been so scared, yet still enjoyed a film so much.

Old Boy, which is a south korean film and it is ****ing amazing. Its a movie not for the faint hearted. If you love good plots then this is the ultimate film! I love it so much! :D

10/10.

Very violent as well.

Richie, I suggest you watch Rear Window! I thought it was slightly better than Disturbia, and it's basically the movie that Disturbia is based off of. In my opinion, it's pretty much all that Disturbia is but without eighty percent of the movie being romantic.

I've seen the film before, but last night I decided to watch Alice in Wonderland for kicks, basically. I use to watch it when I was a kid but I remembered mostly nothing of it, and it's just soooo weird! I don't know if I liked it or not. It's not one of my favourite Disney movies but it's just so random and neat, and not to mention pretty trippy, eh.

I'd give it like, 6.5/10 as far as Disney cartoons go.

Disturbia is amazing. It has a good, interesting story, with some funny parts. Theres not all that much horror, but when there is it's really well done. 10/10

I also saw Michael Clayton, god knows why it won an award at the Cannes film Festival and claims to be the best thriller of the year, since it's absolute ****e. It started off with a car explosion, but went downhill right after that. It basically followed a guy around for the 4 days leading up to said explosion. There was nothing interesting, funny, exciting, scary or anything about the film at all. 1/10

Agreed. It's a great movie. You should try "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance." It's by the same director and makes up the final part of his Vengeance Trilogy, Old Boy being the second part. I think it might just be called Lady Vengeance in the U.S.A/U.K though.

I just saw "Behind the Mask." I thought the idea was really good (behind the scenes documentary of a Michael Myers type killer) but it kind of fell flat towards the end. Definitely worth a watch if you're into the 80s style slasher movies.
