Pretty Decent theming by Oakwood. I hope to god they eventually cover the park with this kind of quality.

We now have a Dr Who Tardis at Oakwood. I'm confused... but intrigued. :)

Log Flume is progressing nicely... (bit of a strange looking skull i must admit, but for the effort Oakwood are going to, i cant fault them)

If this new land is in fact based on 'Never land' then how does the Tardis fit into it! Will be very interesting to find out how it all comes together now!

Construction seems to be speeding up quite a bit now, looking at that skull!

Yeah, not sure how it fits with Neverland, but a police box does fit with an "old London" and the Tardis is now connected with Wales lol

It could just be that they're going for "generic fairytale" I suppose, and that Neverland is an easy trope to signify that, but as time goes on it just seems like their theming solution is "throw money at it so there's stuff to look at". I also love how they appear to have gone "Oh, London is cool! Wait, this is in Wales, errrrr, TARDIS!"

Still, the skull will be cool when there's water coming out of the eyes/nose. I'm semi-curious as to how they're going to hide the giant, arid wasteland behind this new bit, if at all.

That just looks...weird. I kinda hope it looks better when finished but it just looks so mishapen, like someone was drunk when drawing the plans and they didn't correct it when they sobered up.

Slightly bizarre looking skull but at least they have made the effort. I do quite like the texture of it mind you.

I think it will look alot better when/if it is surrounded by vegetation and more theming.
I also hope they attempt to cover up the metal shed/showroom in the background.

Regardless, I'am glad they didn't simply choose to buy the log flume and leave it unthemed.

Ohhh umm dear. That wasn't quite what I had in mind when I saw the fab original plans!
I really, really want Oakwood to do well and be excited for their new additions, but that is pretty underwhelming :(

It looks like the skull is crying. "Oh why didn't you make me look more realistic?"

With the exception of the Wild West area, Oakwood doesn't have any themed areas at all. They made a effort with Plane Crazy shaping the station to look like an airport terminal. This Neverland area is the parks first attempt for many, many years after having no money to spend. I think it's a bit harsh to judge it from construction photos. Some of the stuff looks great already, some doesn't. I suppose once the whole area is packaged up, landscaped and matured we can judge properly.

I quite like the skull tbh, but I wish the colour of the flume track wasn't bright blue and was a dark grey, would have fitted in much better.

It looks like it has been themed to Jimmy Savile. All it needs now is the creepy hairstyle. Perhaps this can be done with waterfalls - maybe provided by the tears of all the celebs that turned a blind eye to his antics in the seventies and eighties, who's careers are being looked into...
