I have been into coasters for about a year now and i think its time i start filming pov's.Any advice?
Also I'm going to pleasure beach soon so any good rides they're to have a go filming?

Don't. Basically.

No offence, but filming POVs is a risky business with the park allowed to throw you out if they catch you (it's against the rules). I can understand why you might want to, but I really don't see the point. We've got enough POVs from Blackpool and all the UK parks not to need more, shaky, poorly filmed POVs by kids.

Again, no offence.

Oh well if it's with a phone camera there's definitely no point. I've not yet seen footage from a phone that makes the video worth having on the internet. If that makes sense.

EDIT: I'm not trying to stop you, it's just not a good idea. The parks don't really like it and we (as enthusiasts) don't really need the bad reputation.

^Sometimes nicely edited offride footage can be tonnes better than POVs.
At least then you have a choice of angles rather than sitting in a seat trying to keep a camera steady.

I agree - I generally prefer watching off-ride footage than on-ride.

Funnily enough, Europa-Park don't really seem to care about people taking POVs (with the exception of Blue Fire and Silver Star where they won't let you on with a camera, for good reason).

Don't know if this is any help but a friend of mine was doing a media project on thorpe park and he went to the operator of colossus and asked if he could do a pov for the project. The op asked some higher authority and 10 minutes later he was in the front seats with his camera strapped to his restraint. They were fine with as it was for a purpose and he asked before hand.

So they don't mind always but if its 'just for fun' I wouldn't risk it.

(East coast(er) general does loads of legit povs I think.)
