Here is an update on the Viking area.

Drakons station area has had loads more foundations poured for it with more for the ride going in also.




Here is a look at the toilet block.


Cobras retheme is underway and the park have moved Cobra topiary to the gardens.



The large central building had started to have walls and roofs added.


Finally a wall has gone in i think to level the area with earth separating the 2026 and 2027 areas.




Looking good so far, excited to see track for Drakon when it arrives.

Lets have a look at how they are getting on, first a look over the site.



A new building is beginning to be built by what will be Drakons lift.


Viking style is slowly starting to appear on the buildings.

Also i saw Google maps have updated the aerial photo.


Gives a good idea on what land is being used, the old go-cart track and area below it are twice the size of Drakons space so whatever is coming in 2027 if it has all that land has got a decent area.

Paultons have now closed off what will be the Valgard area so they can ramp up work. This means that Magma has had it final ride and the park have already started on deconstruction.

Paultons have updated their ride availability page and apparently the rumor seems to be Edge will move to a different area of the park and reopen next year.

With Cobra's transformation into Raven im excited on how different the station and queue will be.

Lawrence Mancey did say they will be doing a construction series like they did for Ghostly Manor so that will be something to look forward too

Surprisingly sooner than i thought some nice triangular Gerstlauer track has arrived and (while hard to see) many supports.

The area is progressing nicely, these buildings are looking to be quite impressive. Odd to not see Magma on the skyline anymore as it has now been deconstructed.






The op cabin has started to go up for the Wild Swing.


Cobra has seen some work with the old paint starting to be removed as well as a mound of earth being removed round one of the bunny hills supports.

Finally the UK theme park awards happend and Paultons kinda stole the show winning the most awards at 10 and got Gold in most.

Gold:
-Theme Park of the Year
-Best New Attraction (Ghostly Manor)
-Best Theme Park for Families
-Best Theme Park for Toddlers
-Best New Sustainability Initiative (Solar)
-Best Use of IP in an Attraction (Peppa Pig World)
-Best Customer Service

Silver:
-Best New Food or Retail Outlet
-Best Integration of Technology in a Guest Experience (Ghostly Manor)

Bronze:
-Best Queue Line Experience (Ghostly Manor)

Happy to see them get recognition for all their work and considering their additions over the next couple of years they will keep being my favourite.

Paultons are hard at work, track and supports continue to arrive, in particular the transfer track and break run are on site.

Cobras retheme to Raven is going well with now the new paint going on.




Theming is on site with what looks like some sort of Nordic statue.

Here we go, supports and track for the main layout are now going up.




Looks like part of the lift structure is on site, hopefully not to long untill it goes up.

A bit soon for another update but well we have an opening date for Saturday the 16th of May.


Paultons have done another fantastic update which shows how construction is going from inside the site so definitely worth a watch.
