Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

Shamelessly copied and pasted my post from TowersStreet :p

These have just been uploaded by Klugheimleaks which has been chased all over the web by PL! It can now be found at http://klugheim.0xhost.net/wp/...for now. Keep checking their Twitter feed for updates if it gets moved again :p

I assume they've wrapped the supports and track because this part is going to be indoors? Or at least feature quite close theming?

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

Awesome pictures!

Notice how in the second image, the frame for the theming extends out and around a support...

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

I'd expect most, if not all, of this ride to feature indoors.

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

I wouldn't say all, it's too high I think! A building like that would just look wrong at this park imo.

Nah, wouldn't be like Phantasialand to have a giant building that houses a coaster...

Because people have said it looks different, not will ride any differently.
And even if people do care if it's cylindrical or cuboid so what, it doesn't affect you so why post such a harsh post?
Wow, it's not like you to post a hypocritical post is it? You're the first to jump down somebody's throat on any topic and the first to act as a UN Peacekeeper. Bye bye.

On a separate note - I'm really looking forward to what this turns out to be. I love a good indoor coaster.

Except that building is just over half the height of Taron, thank you very much. Yes Mystery Castle is tall, but that's a tower, not a coaster this tall.

Sorry that your sarcastic comment didn't work out for you.

The plastic is to protect the track. This thing isn't opening until mid-2016.

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

How tall is Taron then? There's no actual information on that regard at all, and if we have a park more than happy to build a massive indoor building that's at least 60ft tall (if only to fit in Winjas), who's to say they wouldn't do it again?

This is Phantasialand after all... Anything is possible...

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

They tore down a fairly tall building for this and it's also next to River Quest, which is pretty darn tall. I'd like to see some images that show the scale of what is currently going up compared to the surrounding buildings, I find it very hard to determine the scale atm.

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

^Yh, I was going to bring up the humungous building that houses River Quest. I don't think it's entirely out of the question for the park to enclose this ride. In fact, thinking about it, most (all?) of their larger attractions are at least partially enclosed. I'm assuming this is due to the close proximity of the town and to reduce noise, so you may find that it is a necessity for Phantasialand to house their noisier attractions.

Re: Phantasialand to demolish the Western area for something

I 100% think large amounts of this coaster will be inside, but by no means all of it, which is what was being said.

Just noticed the theming on the walls of the launch tunnel!

I'm guessing this dirty great hole is where the droptrack is going?

Bit of an odd support? This shows just how bigsmall this is! It looks massive but isn't really that tall compared to the surrounding structures!

Re: Phantasialand | unknown | Intamin launched

It looks **** beautiful. Ugh why won't this be open in three weeks time?

Re: Phantasialand | unknown | Intamin launched

Any chance this will be open by July? I am planning to visit Rheinwiese - the 2nd biggest funfair after Oktoberfest - this year in Düsseldorf and Phantasialand is just around the corner...

Re: Phantasialand | unknown | Intamin launched

As has been said a few times now, this is set to open next year. I would say go visit anyway because the park is awesome and you can't visit too many times :)

Re: Phantasialand | unknown | Intamin launched

Some tweets from NRW-Parks this morning showing just how far along construction actually is - and also confirming that yes some bits of this will be outside!

I love how they've basically built a giant rock to hide this in XD
