As I am getting a tortoise soon<3 I thought I'd see what creatures big or small CFers have :)

Also I'd like to know what pets people use to have or want. I've always wanted a snake but apparently dead mice in the freezer is a big no-no, who doesn't want mouse tail toppings on your pizza?

I also have two fish which I got from the local fair and I am surprised they have lived all these years, gypsy's sure know how to breed fish.
 
Pets can **** off. I don't do pets (animals at all really). I can't stand the 'cuteness' and effort of it all.

I really want a bunny, like so bad. I would go out and get one tomorrow if I didn't live in a student house =[

I've also always wanted something exotic or creepy to freak people out, like a scorpion or a tarantula or something.
 
I've always wanted a snake :twisted: but family are scared of 'em. :( Once when my dad was alive, his friend was alive, my brother was two, and I was due, my bro' held a snake, :shock: and my mum and sisters freaked out, and ran out the room. :lol:


I used to have goldfish. But I killed 'em by pouring oil in the fish tank. My family tell everyone and never let me forget. Hey I was only 6. :shock:
 
Being allergic to most things animal... We've always had goldfish in a pond. Easy. Except a heron appears to have eaten most of them! Haven't seen one for months.. oops!
 
At the moment, it's just the parrot and some tropical fish. In the past I've had:

2 dogs
cat
hamster
2 mice
2 canaries
numerous goldfish
stick insects
praying mantis
snake

I've previously had numerous goldfish, a rabbit, a hamster and a dog.

I miss my doggie boy so much. I'm desperate to get one, but can't because:
a) I don't really have room
b) Have no outside space for it
c) Live in a rented flat, so prob couldn't have one anyway
d) Couldn't really afford to care for it
e) Can barely look after myself, let alone a dog as well
f) Would quickly get frustrated with not being able to just go out all day/away on holiday without some major planning.

So yeah, one day, but not right now :(

PS. I once met a Newfoundland who'd been trained to do water rescues, but couldn't be arsed with it. He was called Keith. He was awesome.
 
I did have two rats called Guinness and Duff, but they died.
I am now getting two degus.:)
 
^I didn't know what a degu was, but, awwww, they're well cute.

Probably couldn't have many other pets, seeing as he'd eat them. But, whatever. And, when I've got him, will people make sure they hear from me every day, and if they don't, come check. Cause I've probably been eaten then as well. Apart from the fact he might eat me, AWWWWW.

OMG lemmings are REAL? I thought they were just part of a game.

3 goldfish when I was little- Downus, Geek, and Bottle, but they died obviously
2 cockatiels- A yellow one named Fruitloop and a grey one named Popsicle, we had to give them away after a year or so
1 Grey Tabby- Cuddles, we got him when he was a baby and when I was four, so he's like fourteen now
1 Yellow Lab- Magoo, eight years old, got him when he was a baby and he is fat now but still amazing
4 Goldfish- Wee, Mee, Doo, and Nemo, and sadly Wee, Mee, and Doo died within the first week but Nemo lived to be like seven or eight, and still might even be alive (he got huge so we put him in the pond next door)
2 beige and white hamsters- Got Minky first, then Timbit a few months later but they both died on the same day two summers ago
1 Orange Tabby- Sherbert also known as Kitsy, he just turned two and I swear he's possessed but he's hilarious

As for what I want, I'm not too fussed about having anymore. I'd like a small dog one day as well, and I've always wanted a ferret, but other than that, I dunno.
 
OMG ELEPHANTS ARE CUTE AS WELL!!! Although- having one as a pet? Thats just silly.
