Yesterday I visited M&DS With a friend who had never been before, I didn't mind that much as I haven't been since 2010 and I didn't ride the mine train ride last time.
We ended up just buying unlimited ride wristbands for £15 plus paying extra for the Booster. I didn't take that many pictures due to the weather being pretty terrible.

I'l post my thoughts on a few of the rides and photos of them as well as a few other pictures

Tornado-Still the worst coaster I've been on, wasn't so bad the first time I rode due to being in the front seat however the next time I went to ride the front seat was occupied so I went to the second row however the restraints wouldn't open so was told by the op to go to the back of the ride which was one of the worst rides of my life, it was horribly painful especially the loops and the helix. It was also strange having to take my bag on with me on this and tsunami. But Yea the ride was Vile. I filmed an onride video however my camera mucked up before the end however the rest of the video is ok.

Below are a few photos of the ride, It really needs painted.

Tsunami wasn't running that badly, It wasn't that rough and was almost re-rideable. It's queue was actually moving quite fast due to 3 trains which was a surprise. I also filmed this, heres a link if your interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9D1Gv-dyxk

Noticed that "New for 2012" was the Express coaster moved to where the Log Flume used to be and rethemed to be called Space, It wasn't opened however it did test. I wasn't fussed as I'd been on it anyway. Managed to catch it testing though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GK6s0jpnqCo&feature=plcp

Anyway I had an ok day I guess, the park is still pretty bad and it's it a shame there is hardly anywhere else to go to. It seems like it will be around for a while though as it still gets pretty busy. The food was terrible, the Knock off KFC places chips tasted horrible however they looked better than anything else they had on offer. I don't plan on returning anytime soon. The coasters are pretty terrible, the staff weren't great and listening to ipods and the park just looks rundown. Yea I wouldn't recommend the place.

Nice little PTR. I don't really know much about M&Ds but I'm going to have to get there at some point. Didn't realise how many creds they had.

Sounds like you had a nice time despite the miserable weather though.

Great post alexr, i haven't been to M&D's in years, the last time i was there they still had the Cobra but i'm intersted to go again & take the kids. The Tornado does look like it could do with a lick of paint. It's not a bad price though for an unlimited pass, what's the booster? Is it like fast track or something?

It's not the Magic Carpet from Alton. That thing was much bigger.

M&D's is such a **** hole. The only reason it gets any customers whatsoever is that there's nothing else remotely close.

What a dump.

Very true, the only other thing like it is Codona's at Aberdeen & it's not even as big, Scotland sucks for coasters.

I was sure it was, It looks very similar anyway http://ukrides.info/atmagiccarpet.htm

Yea, I agree it's terrible and it's been getting more custom due to Loudoun being shut.

The booster is a name given to the ride type of Bomber Mark 2
(The ride in this video)

Also I'm pretty sure the Cobra was just the Express/Space but just with a different name.

^^ Hey man, you are right. A quote from RCDB:
History:

After the 2001 season M&D's removed the Cobra and operated it as a traveling coaster. It returned to the park for the 2003 and 2004 seasons as the Express. It again disappeared for the 2005 season and returned yet again for the 2006 season.

^ Yes you are.

Nice PTR, although the park looks like a bit of a state, it is I guess good that their still getting good custom, although as Gavin said that`s down to having nothing else to choose from, especially after Loundouns closure.

I really love water slides, whether at a swimming pool or at a park, but I have to say the ones here look completely gross.
