Rank the B&M Hyper coasters

1. Mako

2. Shambhala

3. Silver Star - I enjoyed this one thoroughly and didn't find it to be rough at all (especially compared to the newer B&M's!). I only rank it as my least favourite as there was nothing that really stood out from the rest I've been on. Mako has the strongest airtime, Shambhala has the best views, whereas Silver Star didn't have any specific "wow" factors. Still, it's a great coaster and I'll always enjoy a B&M Hyper!

1. Apollo's Chariot
2. Diamondback
3. Nitro

Apollo is easily the best I have been on. I love coasters that are smooth and not very aggressive. Apollo is much smoother than the other two I have been on. I also love the airtime on Apollo not super crazy airtime but the right amount IMO. Diamondback is number 2 because I see it as a combination of both Nitro and Apollo. It isn't as smooth as Apollo but it isn't as aggressive as Nitro. I love all 3 and think they are all amazing but based on my ride preferences Apollo easily trumps the other two. Nitro was the first one I went on and it was really good but after riding the other two it brought it down a peg for me. Like I said though all three are great rides!

It’s been a real long time definitely got some updating here.

1. Fury 325
2. Mako
3. Candymonium

4. Apollo’s Chariot
5. Diamondback
6. Nitro
7. Thunder Striker
8. Goliath (SFOG)
9. Raging Bull

Not a bad one in the bunch all things considered I know Raging Bull gets a lot of hate but don’t really remember any strong opinions on it. It’s been awhile since I rode the 3 from the original post so I left them in that order. Hopefully getting back on Nitro and Candymonium by the end of the month so we will see if some things shift.

1. Shambhala
2. Mako
3. Behemoth
4. Candymonium
5. Silver Star
6. Apollo's Chariot
7. Diamondback
8. Goliath (La Ronde)

... I thought I'd done more than that - more to come in the next twelve months. I was a bit underwhelmed with Apollo's Chariot, to be honest, but I'm prepared to believe I caught it on an off day. Goliath is very poor, but looks cool when it appears in the background of shots of the F1 track.

Why Silver Star is such a controversial hyper coaster ?
Is that the impressive stats that hype you up before you ride it ? Seem like this coaster is such a let down for most of peoples.

I think its relative reception compared to Shambhala (the only other B&M Hyper a lot of Europeans will have ridden) can’t help. Shambhala is very well received, and because Silver Star isn’t quite as well received, it automatically slides into the “inferior” bucket even if it’s a fantastic ride in its own right. It gets overlooked just because it’s not quite as good as Shambhala in the eyes of the populace, similarly to how Nemesis Inferno gets overlooked due to it not being quite as good as Nemesis in the eyes of the populace.

For what it’s worth, I still absolutely loved Silver Star and don’t think there’s nearly as much in it between that and Shambhala as common consensus suggests. Shambhala does rank more highly for me, but both are in my top 5, and that post-MCBR section in particular is brilliant on Silver Star!

Since B&M doesn't split hyper/giga nor shall I

1: Fury 325
2: Goliath @ SFoG
(Least day I went this thing killed it. Strong, sustained floater every hill, forceful, good length. Is it the rattle? I guess this is a personal preference it doesnt bother me, I know many hate that)
3: Diamondback
4: Apollo's Chariot
(Was pleasantly surprised!)
5: Nitro (I need to ride again, this thing used to be one of my favs but over time felt inconsistent and lost some oomph)
6: Orion
7: Candymonium
(perhaps a bad time. This was during covid when trains were running half full, routine stops for cleaning, I'll get to in 2026 see how it is full speed)

Goliath - SFOG
Mako - SWO
Diamondback - KI
Intrimidator - Carowinds
Apollo's Chariot - BGW
Candymonium - Hershey
None of these are ranked in my top 10, but Goliath and Thunder Striker (trims) are both in my top 10 most ridden coasters. Goliath might still be #1, but Fury's catching up.
If I add in gigas Fury tops the list as my #2 overall and Orion places third one spot above Mako.

Added Silver Star to the list

Its an ok coaster, but the queue is one of the worst in the whole park. It doesn't really do much to stand out above the other hypers. Maybe if they added an extra airtime hill and camelback, it would be bumped up a little, but I came off it being just ok compared to the other hypers I've ridden. I do love the presence it has over that section of the park though. It sorta just dominates the France area.

1. Shambhala
Love the openness of the trains and the expedition theme. Great floater airtime, not a very intense ride but I like that it has more to offer than just airtime hills, I love the inclusion of the splashdown element and the interaction with Dragon Kahn.

* Honorable Mention: Leviathan

Not a hyper coaster, but if it was included it would land at number two. Incredible sense of speed and a world class first drop. Perhaps a little short but it's still awesome
.

2. Candymonium
Surprised the hell out of me. The first half has fantastic strong & sustained floater airtime, the second half, while not quite as strong still keeps a quick pace and some solid floater airtime hills. Shame I only rode it once, but the that back row ride I had was epic.

3. Silver Star
Plenty of great airtime moments (especially the drop off the mid-course), I do agree that the airtime on the first few hills isn't as strong as Shambhala, it has always given me solid airtime throughout.

4. Behemoth

it's solid, the trio of airtime hills are the highlight, while the helix section is a bit underwhelming, the strength of the first half slightly knocks it above Nitro
.

5. Nitro
While it might be the weakest of the ones I have ridden, Nitro is still good fun. Solid floater airtime and a unique woodside setting, plus the fairly forceful upward helix is a nice change of pace
